Is that view looking south, past an island?

Yeah. Holly By The Sea is just west of yhe Navarre Bridge. This Dock is a little west of where the last houses are in Navarre Beach across the Santa Rosa Sound and this guy was facing SW. Here is another angle from someone more north of it.

Here's a waterspout picture I took back in 2012, it was a nice sunny day when this storm line rapidly formed in the afternoon as is so common in Florida. As you can see it was nice enough that there was someone parasailing with a water spout in the distance.
