As soon as I got into the stadium, I saw the snow begin to fall like a bunch of paratroopers from the sky. Fortunately, I had dressed in snow gear for that game because I thought there'd be an inch or two and I didn't want to get cold.

A few observations from the game:

-Before the start of the game, they had some girls out there in their ballet tights doing splits into the snow. I don't know if they should get medal for courage or arrest their sponsors for child abuse.

-I got all hyped up when the A&M began playing the theme to "Patton".

-There were several LSU fans who came up to me and told me they hoped we stomp A&M's ***.

-I thought the Aggies pretty much put the game away when they got ahead 14-0 and later 35-21.

-It took me 4 hours to get from Shreveport to Ruston, 70 miles away. I swear I thought I was going to die that night. Anytime I got distracted from the road, the van would start to swerve. I remember listening to a classic rock station bragging about how they weren't owned by Clear Channel and playing some freaky early '70's music. When I finally got back to the hotel at 3:30 a.m., my wife had to sit on the back bumper just to get the van into the parking spot.

-I thought that, with all that young talent State had, we were a shoo-in for the SEC west in 2001. Little did any of us know.......

It snowed from the time I got out of the beer line (beer at a college football game = priceless), right before kickoff, until the time we finally found our car in the parking lot. This guy does a pretty good job describing it. I've never seen anything like it.

AA - Pretty cool that the Dontae clip has Jack's call as the voiceover.

AAA - This guy obviously didn't do his homework. He forgot the most notable thing about Shreveport: Coach34's hometown. Duh.

I watched the game at a bar in the French Quarter while out for New Year's eve... I got pretty ****-faced during the game and then went out and expressed my glee by taunting the Florida fans who were in for the Sugar Bowl with chants of "47-35"

This is exactly my story. Best time of my life. It took 45 minutes to get to Shreveport and 3 1/2 hrs to get back to the hotel. Great trip

...could've been a great one if he had kept his nose clean and stayed out of the buffet line. He was special his freshman and sophomore years.

That game was a really fun one, by the way. I don't even remember it being too cold. The 2000 Arkansas game was more miserable to me than the snow bowl.

He said he had the A&M side of the field, and remembers R.C. Slocum, the Aggies' coach, questioning a play that might have gone out of bounds. Or not. After Ratner slalomed over, he told Slocum the A&M receiver appeared to have missed a gate at the top of the course.

and I think it was Willie Blade who was unblockable.

I also remember thinking Dontae Walker was going to hold every MSU rushing record before he left.

i think there was a preseason pep rally or something, and we were shocked at how big he was his freshman year.

the best part about dontae was the two gold teeth, one with a D and one with a W, that he sported on his front two teeth. they were a gift from his mother for making the all-american team. nice.</p>
