Things could not have started worse for MC! The announcer forgot to play the National Anthem (inexcusable!). Then on the third play, we fumbled, Strasburg scored on the first play (4 ydsout), 7-0 before you can blink your eyes.

The Rams scored their second TD on short fields after turnovers. 14-0. MC changes to Wingate at QB. Nice little drive but had to punt.

MC has significantly more yards. If not for the 3 early turnovers that led to very short field TDs, MC is maybe up two scores.

The Rams returned the 2nd half kickoff to the MC 11 and score on 4th down. 21-14 Rams. Then they recovered the onside kick. Not looking good for the home team.

It was a sloppy game tonight.

After the game, I heard someone from the press box say that all the pregame introductions (senior players, cheerleaders and band members) took longer than planned; the clock operator didn’t stop it at 2:00 to finish up the introductions; the clock reached zero and the game basically started before they could figure out the Anthem being played. It’s the reason, albeit not a good one, why it happened. Hope that NEVER happens again.
