it's with regret that the actions of a few will forever give this teams joyous journey an ugly black eye. hitting a ref then his own teammate throwing helmet and to top it off last in line for the handshake strikes a ram in the head. kudos to #33 for not retaliating as he would have hurt his chances to participate in the 'show'. the staff at poquoson is top notch no question however i question why he wasnt ejected by their own team to go sit in the locker room or at the very least kept an eye on his volatile state of mind. if he is involved in any further school sports this matter should be reported to vhsl as well as the administration if not also the bay rivers district. ignoring it and hoping it goes away is shameful to say the least. on another note at the end of the coaches speech you might notice via youtube a player disrespect towards his own team and coaches and elects to give the bird to all, whom specifically i couldnt say nevertheless very unsportsmanlike and quite frankly disturbing and disgusting. yes it is an emotional game but this is not normal behavior and likewise should be admonished before someone gets hurt. thankfully this board has maybe 10 people on it and my venting stays here where civilized people can talk about the outstanding athletes and teams win or lose. the insight from across the state makes these matchups more appealing and exciting to fans who may not have a child involved. good luck to the rams as they take on a really good glenvar and my apologies on behalf of the bull islanders with class. we are a proud program and cant believe we would condone or excuse these type of antics.
