For the 1000th time CMS is not going anywhere for the next few years. Get over it.
So what does that have to do with what he did to Dawson.
Pontius Pilate wasn't going anywhere either.

Mr. Dawson did it to himself which is why he is unemployed today. So what does that have to do with what he did to Dawson.
Pontius Pilate wasn't going anywhere either.
Our offensive numbers went down drastically in every stat category kept except 3rd down conversions with our most talented skilled players in a long timeHow many times do you have to be told you're wrong in order for you to get it. Stoops isn't going anywhere this year or next.
And to the poster who said he'll screw up again? Do you honestly think one bad hire means someone is incapable of making good hires? That's equally dumb.
All vitriol for Stoops truly surprises me. The guy has been far from perfect, but we are better off then before he got here, that is undeniable.
For the 1000th time CMS is not going anywhere for the next few years. Get over it.
You actually think Stoops fired Dawson because he was the one a lot of fans wanted gone. So Stoops did this because of adverse fan reaction to please all the bashers and haters.Hal, your exactly right. Somebody had to go, and with so much adverse fan reaction, Dawson was the one a lot of fans wanted gone, so Stoops covered his A$$. Stoops had better show a lot of improvement this year, or his A$$ will be gone.
OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!
Good comments and a sensibility that fans control a coach's fate. That is true to a degree. CMS has at least another two years to show progress in terms of competing in the SEC. This total rebuild is a process and he will be granted time to succeed. As I said in another post, a NASCAR winner is only as good as the car's performance and the parts that make it work. We don't have all the parts in place at the moment nor an experienced pit crew to make it happen. IMO, we are only halfway there to the winner's circle.SanAntonio, I don't know what you base a statement like that on. There are two things that enable a coach to keep his job. W's and L's and fannies in the seats. I have been a season ticket holder since 1974. When a coach doesn't win, fannies don't stay in the seats. Ask Curry, Mumme, and Joker. Barnhart raised the prices this past year, so fans expect a coach to produce. I agree that should not affect a coach's job, but it does.
A lot of money has been put into the program to enable us to compete. It;s the coach's job to make sure that happens, and that means W's, not moral victories.
OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!
I just feel that parents of some very talented kids who could have gone to successful winning schools would stop letting their kids come here if there were questions about the ability of the people they are sending their kids to play for. Especially the Ohio kids.Good comments and a sensibility that fans control a coach's fate. That is true to a degree. AN OLDER STOLL FIELD GUY
Hear, hear!I just feel that parents of some very talented kids who could have gone to successful winning schools would stop letting their kids come here if there were questions about the ability of the people they are sending their kids to play for. Especially the Ohio kids.
But, Stoops and his staff keep loading up with the level of talent we as fans are excited about.
He is building this program and top notch facilities and a different level of talent that has not been here for awhile.
Has he been perfect as a new head coach, no he hasn't but why do all these great players keep coming here to play for him.
In my opinion it's the posters that are micromanaging and Stoops who is busting his butt anyway he can for his players to be successful. They came here to play for Coach Stoops and help him build a program.
For me the Stoops era starts next year.
Just to be fair, in 2014 the Cats scored a whopping 6 non-offensive TDs. In 2015 only 2. That is a difference of 28 points or about 2.3 points of that 5 PPG difference.UK was 96th in scoring offense (24 pts a game...down 5pts a game from year before)
UK 87 in TOs lost
So UK was way below average in scoring and...
