I'm calling for his *** kicked to the curb now. He has done NOTHING that demonstrates that he is learning a damn thing about being a head coach. I'll continue watching the games, but damnit if I support his *** one iota from here on out. Let's bring in a young head coach who actually seems interested in learning and putting his ego aside to get better.

Not sure how you put this on Mullen. How many dropped passes did we have tonight? Devon Bell has to go. He continues to miss chip shot FG's. How many tackles did we miss in 1st Qtr? Penalties. I mean if Day doesn't get that personal foul we pick up the 1st down on our side of the field instead of having to punt from our 19. I could go on, but this was a team loss not just a loss on Mullen.
Because he called a great game until we got up by 3 and then did his typical crap of going conservative to try to limit turnovers. How many more times did we need to run Dak up the middle while their D was playing 10 yards off of the slot? What Dan did (playcalling wise) for the last quarter and a half was the equivalent of the Stansbury stall.
Dude, read what you wrote. How do you put this on Mullen???? He's the 17'n coach...he's responsible for making sure all of that does not happen. It's how winners win. It's time that we as a fan base demand more. Mullen actually instilled that in many of us...well...here we are...demanding more. We have plenty of money to do better. Now, it's time for Stricklin to earn HIS paycheck....or he needs to go also.
I guess I didn't see us go conservative. I saw us run plays that worked earlier in the game that Auburn stopped. I saw us try to throw the ball but ended with Dak having to run for a couple of yards. Hell Dak almost threw an Int at the 20 with about 5 mins to go into the game. Nothing conservative about that. we went for it on 4th and 1 on our own 30. maybe I missed something.

i knew the game was over in the middle of the 3rd when auburn handed us the ball on their own 45 and we proceeded to run the 3 safest plays in our playbook. we were begging to get our hearts broken and auburn just walked right through the door we refused to slam.

If you didn't see the difference in our play calls in the 4th quarter then I can only assume you didn't watch the first 3.
So you want Mullen to be blamed for our receivers dropping passes that they routinely make? You want to blame Mullen for the missed tackles in 1st qtr even though our defense showed the rest of the game they could make? You want to blame Mullen for Day getting a personal foul late in the game deep on our own end of the field? Some times players have to make plays and not do stupid ****. Did Dan make some mistakes? You bet but so did our players. It's a team lost to me. Not just 1 person.
Well, it's up to Mullen to recruit the hell out of some talent....like, freak talent. He's gonna have to tell these blue chippers whatever they want to hear and get their signature. It's also his responsibility to hire and supervise coaches that actually coach, and perhaps minimize missed tackles and penalties.
I saw us run a lot of the plays we ran the 1st 3 qtrs. I saw us run the read option. I saw us call some pass plays. I saw Auburn bring more pressure so we didn't have the time to sit back in the pocket and I saw Dak have to run for a couple of yards to avoid sacks. I saw Lewis drop a wide open pass across the middle that should have put us inside the 20. I then saw us have to punt because Bell sucks a fat cock.
I agree with this completely. This is my biggest problem with Dan. Instead of making adjustments, he blames execution for plays not working. It was obvious that auburn was loading the box, but Dan didn't adjust.

You are right....we should have just hired a monkey and set him up there with the clipboard since head coaches are in now way responsible for the play of the team they field. How did these players that make so many mistakes and seem less than SEC caliber end up on our team....hmmmmm.... Surely the head coach had NOTHinG to do with that either.

You realize we made a lot of similar catches that we dropped. We tackled for 3 qtrs but didn't the 1st. Basically what I'm saying is that our players showed they could tackle and make catches. There were just times in the game that they didn't. I think we have SEC talent on our team. If not, we would have gotten killed by Auburn. We just have young receivers and DB's.
