explain what he said or did not say that, in your opinion, justifies a mediocre grade?

Or was it something about his presentation or style that was lacking?

he seemed nervous to me, which i think will improve over time......nothing he said made me think of LT so that moved it from a C to B-.....it probably was closer to a B+ ....he didnt hit a homerun but he did hit a stand up double

with that assessment..the first half he was very nervous and stumbled over his words pretty badly.
But after introducing the family and getting into what he wanted to say he relaxed and was much more at ease.
David and Goliath analogy was good but nothing really made me stop, stand up and clap or get extremely excited.
He is not a Greg Byrne as of yet and is more quiet and does not have that confidence in his voice that demands your attention.

But I do believe in him and look forward to hearing him outline his vision more over time.

the PC made him come offas a nice guy, which im sure he is. The impression I came away with was he was Byrne-like and on the same token the administration is still the polar opposite from the LT crew.

/Well see...

is the outward, visible portrayal of confidence, control and authority. Subordinates are reticent to fully get behind someone whom they perceive as unsure or indecisive.

on board with him, regardless of how good an impression he might make, and could account for slight nervousness, which was noticeable. He also seemed to avert his eyes rather than look straight at the audience at times, unlike GB, who I never saw drop his head...he may have turned red and blushed, but he never looked down in a press conference that I ever saw. Give the boy a chance. I'm trying to envision him firing anybody but having a difficult time with it.

in Jackson. Both were fairly nervous, some word stumbling, and talking real fast. The only real difference is Stricklin didn't have any homerun statements like Mullen did saying we are going to beat +@%* in his first pc. Overall I thought it went well he didn't say anything wrong and he didn't lay out any unrealistic expectations. I hope his work is good here and that we continue to improve.
