I needed a haircut a few weeks before the shutdown and never got one. Now it's really starting to bug me.

I'm seriously thinking of using clippers and blade guards and doing it myself! The only style I think I could successfully manage is a buzzcut, which I haven't had since I was a 4 y/o, but who GAF? I never see anybody now and don't care anyway. I'd rather be comfortable.

Problem is the wife said she'd cut me off if I did that. I may look like Grizzly Adams by the time this **** is over (minus the beard).

What are some things you’ve learned about yourself or your family being stuck in the house these last few weeks?

  • We make a LOT of garbage. Like emptying trash and recycling at least every two days. That’s never happened.
  • I don’t poop nearly as much as I did when I was working.
  • Daytime TV is absolute garbage. It’s gotten significantly worse. The guy is usually NOT the father, BTW.
  • Outside is nicer than I remember.
Why would anyone watch original daytime TV (as in not repeats on TBS) on a regular basis anymore unless they had trashy taste or can’t afford the internet?

I buzzed mine off. It only cost 25 bucks to get the trimmer. I'm paying almost $20 for a haircut. I don't really look that much different. I would have a little more hair if I went to the barber, but I get my hair cut short anyway.

My 15 year old is on a sleep schedule of 3AM-3PM right now. I am only awake from 3PM-9PM with him . I make him walk the dog with me and he has his drivers permit so we have gone out practice driving. It's a great time to get on the interstate for the first time since there are hardly any vehicles out there.

Some of my observations:

- I really like this pace of life. House is cleaner than ever, yard looks great, my golf game is in top notch shape, and I am caught up at work

- We have only turned the main TV on in our house 7 or 8 times over the last 3 weeks and each time was to watch a movie

- Birds are awesome. With the nice weather we have been sitting out on the back porch a lot and the birds singing at dusk is really cool. We have a cardinal that comes to one of our trees we nicknamed Rockin Robin because he has so many different tunes.

- Puzzles are a great way to kill time and also calm anxiety. They are almost meditative. Put your favorite music on loud and it's even better.

- Marijuana is way better than booze

I’m wondering when all this is over, if I have to also give up drinking, smoking weed and having sex all the time too.

“Give up drinking”- I’ve been trying to drink as much as I can hoping I get burnt out on it just in case. So far no luck, but I’ll press onward.
