Students,
With tonight's selection of the Mississippi State Bulldogs to play in the Gator
bowl on January 1 against Michigan at 1:30 p.m. ET, we are pleased to announce
that there will be 1,000 student tickets available for the game. Due to the
limited number of tickets for this bowl game, we will institute a student
ticket lottery on the evening of Tuesday, December 7th at 6:30 p.m. at the
Humphrey Coliseum. Below are details on how the lottery will work:
- All students are invited to enter through the student ticket gate at the Hump
beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday
- All students will have an equal chance of getting a lottery ticket;
therefore, there is no need to arrive at the Hump early in the day
- All student tickets are reserved seats, if you would like to sit with someone
please arrive at the Hump at the same time to obtain sequential lottery
numbers
- Students must have a valid student ID upon entrance
- As students enter the Hump their ID will be scanned and you will be given a
ticket with a number on it (you may not use someone else's ID to purchase
additional tickets)
- Once you receive your ticket, please take a seat in the Hump lower bowl
- At 7:30 p.m. the lottery will begin
- Numbers, in blocks of 50, will be called out and those students holding a
ticket within that block may go to the Hump ticket windows at that time and
may purchase one bowl game ticket
- All bowl game tickets must be purchased with cash or credit card
- Gator Bowl student tickets are $60
- Numbers will be drawn until all bowl game tickets have been exhausted or
until all students present have been given the opportunity to purchase
tickets.
Again, we want to make this as fair as possible as all students will be
studying for finals and preparing to go home for the holidays. Thank you for
your understanding and we will see you on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m.
