I would love to know the committee's thinking that moved us 3 spots on an idle week.

Arizona and Kansas State lost and they re-evaluated the two MSUs and determine we had more top 25 wins than the other MSU.

As an idle team we jumped another idle team. The biggest head scratcher is TCU winning by 50 and dropping 3 spots. The human factor in ranking teams is very flawed. Not that I'm complaining because we benefited but if the roles were reversed we'd have a meltdown.

If anything, Arizona losing should have made Michigan St. look better to the committee by making their loss to Oregon look better. Also, Ohio St. winning and moving up should have made Michigan St. look better. I'm glad we benefited, but the committee has opened itself up for a lot of questioning with these last rankings.

I would add that Bama's unmerciful throttling of Mizzou certainly made our 5-pt road loss even more respectable in context.
