I only saw OT but that was exciting. I saw the 1980 win and it’s hard to believe it took 46 years to do it again.

Saw a stat before OT. Shots at goal by Canada was like 42. Goalie obviously didn’t block em all, but I’d say at least 20.

I worked for a company that was headquartered in Ontario so I have still have a ton of co-workers, acquaintances, and friends in Canada. I usually don't engage in hockey smack but I did today because when they've beaten us in the olympics, world championships, etc they pound theirs chests and shoot off their mouths. I told them a couple of years ago if they wanted to brag about something they should field an all-Canadian football team and play the US. If they beat us, they could brag all they want but that hockey just isn't important to the vast majority of Americans. With that said, I'm glad we kicked the shitta out of those maple syrup bitches.

Who knew that Canadian Hockey fans are bat **** crazy about Canadian Hockey as Bama fans are about Bama football. Better put some guards around the cherry blossoms in DC.
One cool thing about this gold medal is that the team will effectively get a victory lap as they travel the US with their respective NHL teams

Yep. I don't follow the NHL unless the Blues are in the playoffs. Last year he had a very inconsistent series against the Blues, even getting pulled a couple of times. So it was nice to root for him and see him have success.
