Sucks to be playing for a conference title? I don't care if it is CUSA, they actually have a chance to win a championship instead of just claiming one like Dan did.
It's not that playing for the title of that crappy conference is a bad thing, but by winning, USM costs their conference about 18 million dollars.

Yes it does suck: More winning seasons in a row than you guys have had in 75 years combined! More conference championships than you can even erroniously claim! Ranked! Talked about in the BCS rankings and even still with a remote chance at getting there! Not a door mat in whatever conference we are in! Don't Have to claim a miserable state championship after beating a 2 win team in implosion! We play a ranked #6 team on ABC on championship saturday with a good chance to win! And last, we don't have to sit around and be delusional about our place in college football. We are well awareof it! USM is loaded for the next few years with good players this staff has recruited (if you guys have not figured it out yet, good players are good players regardless of what some 155 pound wannabe writer on scout thinks with his star handout) and we will simply reload coaches. Yescoaches WANT to come here! Again, boy does it suck! Oneother thing, be very afraid Fedora is stupid enough to go to TSUN, your run will have been a short one.

I have no idea who is or isnt replying to me. Let me say this; if state were in the position as usm, would you think it sucks? I wouldn't and I know the players wouldn't.
Personally... if I were USM, there wouldn't be any question in my mind that we should take the win and think about theconsequenceslater. You're playing for a championship and have the chance for an 11 or 12 win season. Despite losing a huge payout by winning and the team blew a win against inferior teams, you gotta take the win. However, it is still bitter sweet knowing that you cost your conference (and your school) more money and this win will solidify your coaches exit. It's an unusual situation no doubt.
The point was it sucks that winning a championship results in some bad side affects. Of course you want to win a title. what really sucks is USM is in the bcs if they just beat a crummy UAB team

You lost to UAB and Marshall. If you got into the BCS with those two losses, the BCS would implode. Congrats on your win today, but stop trying to act like you beat a legit BCS team. Houston had the 111th ranked strength of schedule.
