It's summer time, bushwackers and that means increased humidity, sweltering temperatures and a whole helluva lot of baby powder. And water, you got to have that water. So what better time for breweries to trot out their most watered-down and fruit-infused beers? Exactly! Well, the Bushman and Black Rain are on the case. In this episode, they will tackle more than a few of these summer beers and let you know what to expect should you decide to venture down this precarious aisle at your local beer store. Be careful, bushwackers! And take notes: there will be a pop quiz on the next episode.

OMG this review is so awesome. I mean it's like the MSU of beer reviews, whatever that means. And they rail all over Abita's Strawberry **** beer, which is what more and more people need to do because fruit flavors are for soda and Kool-Aid, NOT BEER. Amiright? Of course I am.

Whoa. Take it easy dude. Abita's Strawberry just tasted funny in a bad way this year, maybe due to ramping up their output. Tin Roof's Watermelon Wheat is great for summer brews.

Nothing wrong with fruit beer combo, but Abita Strawberry is turrable.

Tastes like fanta with a little miller lite thrown in.

It's a situational brew.

It comes out in spring time when the weather gets warmer and folks start spending time outside. I guess folks are just in great moods when they drink it bc it otherwise tastes like damn it.

Don't go insulting Miller like that... They have a summer brew, "Fortune", that's pretty damn tasty.

I have not had Fortune yet but Black Rain drinks it frequently.

Also saw where Lagunitas is having a launch party in oxford on June the 12th I think. Hmmmm

Shiner's Ruby Redbird is 17ing good, but like any beer on this thread they are only reasonable in 6 pack form between the hours or 4 and 7 pm.

Ruby Redbird is the only "fruit" beer that I regularly drink. Good stuff.

Abita Strawberry did seem a little off this year to me too. I heard this is the first year they've actually offered it on tap in places. I'm a big fan of the Purple Haze.
