Pretty good read. I don't think you give Brewster enough credit though. We have already seen more separation from receivers in the first 3 weeks, than we did the entire season last year. Who knows if credit goes to Mirando or Brewster, but based on last year, I'd have to say Brewster has been a good addition and has made an impact already. Once again, there's know way to know what these guys would look like if Mirando were still here though.

I totally agree with #8. I'm sick of seeing that and it's not fooling anyone. Put Dak back there. It gives him more reps and at least he's a threat to throw the ball. It's a small threat, but it's still a threat.

Agree on the defensive gameplan, it was awful and if we roll that out against

Tennessee we won't win. Got to bring the heat, as a former QB having all the time you need makes
all the difference in the world and I don't think we touched their QB all night. I could not believe my eyes, very frustrating game to watch.

I think Troy is better at offense then Tenn. That offense they run is very hard to defense. It will nickle and dime you to death. It was like Houston's offense was with Keenen. Fast passes. As fast as he past the ball no one was going to touch him. All you can do is what we did play it and hope for mistakes in throwing or fumbles. That spread offense is great from 20 to 20 but once you get deep there is less field that the defense has to defend. I don't think the game was ever in doubt. We could almost score at will. We easily left another 10 to 14 points on the field just by drop passes. That last drive we could have scored. Our offensive line was taking control of the game.

good read again Coach - question, just after the start of the 2nd qtr. I noticed the entire 2nd line defense was out there .... not just 3 or 4 substitutions, but the entire 2nd deep .... why do that as opposed to only subbing 4 or 5 at a time ? ... this tells me that maybe our staff underestimated Troy's offense from the very beggining ..... it was a little disturbing to see the continued zone defense even if we had that many intercepts

Regarding Tubby:

I would like to see us use him as a Wes Welker. He's got the quickness and speed to get open on quick routes, and then use his skills to make big plays. These 15 yard routes we're trying to throw to him don't work because he just doesn't have the hands for it at this point and the players covering him are just as big as he is.
