Suns and Grizz about to tip off on TNT.

Oh, and Hasheem Thabeet 17ing sucks. Taking him with a #2 pick is a move that will be laughed at for the rest of time. He's a complete liability on offense and disrupts nearly any play call, his hands of stone turn him into a marginal rebounder when he should be cleaning up, and his defense is slightly above average at best. Yeah, he gets a couple blocks every day, but I wonder how many have come immediately following a missed defensive rebound by himself. The rookie payscale is typically a huge bargain for owners, but in Thabeet's case, $4.5M is overpaying.
and although I don't think he "17ing sucks" he certainly hasn't performed up to the level of a #2 pick. I'm pretty sure the Grizz were trying to trade that pick but couldn't get what they wanted so they took Thabeet who was thought to be the consensus #2 guy in the draft (lots of potential high risk pick). I think he'll end up being serviceable at some point, if only the Grizz would have taken T. Evans they would have a legit PG and be playing for more than just a playoff spot. Hell even with Conely they are arguably the hottest team in the NBA, great win tonight.
Read somewhere that since 12/1 they have the 3rd best record in the NBA behind LA and Cleveland and actually they have the same number of losses, just haven't played as many games so fewer wins.

looking at some warehouses in the Main area and it was packed. I'm guessing because of the Civil Rights Museum was probably doing something. Downtown was hopping all day today though according to a friend of mine who tends bar on Beal.
I am going to watch them play @ NO Arena Wednesday and I cannot wait. I am from North MS, but am living on the coast now. I was a fan for all of the growing years.. Glad to see some success.. I cannot wait to watch them beat down on the Who Gnats like the Spurs did today..
