Who you got?

Both Skip and Shannon pick the 49ers.

As much as I like Mahomes I pick the 49ers. I think the 49ers have no weaknesses and the 49er defensive line will not give Mahomes much time to throw the ball.

I think the 49ers are more physical while the Chiefs are a finesse team with a suspect defense (Ugg, 29th vs the run).

What are some crazy things Vegas has betting lines on??

This is the toughest SB for me to try and pick in many years. I hate to pick against either team. A lot of scenarios to think about. Can SF run the ball successfully. Can the 49ers keep Mahomes in the pocket and put some pressure on him? Will Richard Sherman get beat deep? I guarantee KC is going to give that a shot or two. So many things.

No question KC has the better QB and receivers. Offensive lines are close as well. But, I think SF is a more rounded team and has a better D. Plus, the 49ers played a very tough schedule down the stretch. Their last six games included four playoff teams. They went 3-1 against those teams. And the Rams went 9-7 too. and they were in that last six games too. They are definitely battle tested.

I am going with SF in a close, one score game.

Speaking of prop bets, here is how they started:

I think this will come down to the line of scrimmage. SF is clearly better on both sides of the ball. If they can run it at least as good as they did vs Green Bay that keeps Mahomes off the field. I think SF wins in a close one something like 28-22, 28-24 something like that.

Chiefs aren't going to stop that run game. This will be a shootout, 37-35 Fighting Jimmy Gs

49ers if they can run the ball. It’s hard to pick.
I didn’t think the Chief defense could stop the Tennessee running game with Henry but they did. If the Chief defense stops the running game I say the Chiefs.

All that said I don’t think the Chiefs will stop the run and I believe Jimmy Garoppolo will play better than people think.

I pick the 49ers in a close win!

MIAMI—Crediting general manager Ryan Pace for playing an instrumental role in advancing his career, Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes thanked the Chicago Bears Sunday for selecting Mitchell Trubisky instead of him in the 2017 NFL Draft.

“I would’ve never had this opportunity to compete for a championship if I had ended up on the Bears,” said Mahomes during a post-game interview, expressing his gratitude to the Chicago franchise for sparing him from years of mediocrity and career frustration

So I go to a sports bar to watch the game. Pulling for KC, not looking good so I leave early 4th quarter. Miss the 21 point comeback. Uhh.

I had KC and the under....it was a good night.
Hey! Good for you! I didn't bet on the game itself. I did pick the 49ers here. But I was a little wobbly with that pick. And I never bet on a wobbly pick.

However, I did win $100 at the end of the 1st quarter in a SB squares pool. If the Chiefs didn't score the last TD in the 4th quarter, I would have won another $100. I also won the coin flip bet.

Oh yeah, a friend of mine told me there was a bet out there to see if Mr. Peanut was going to be brought back to life in a commercial. Guess he won that one.:)

This from m a paper called The Onion? Listen if true I now have less respect for Mahomes. Seems like a great kid. Not good to trash talk a franchise no matter weather it’s true or not. Maybe because he’s 24 young and dumb. No good comes from bashing another franchise or a player who happens to play the same position. Maybe more fake news? I hope it is.

No, it isn't true. The Onion does satire and parodies.
LMAO!

The Onion is most famous for a story several years ago where they named North Korea's Kim Jong-un "the Sexiest Man on Earth" and they subsequently had something like a National Holiday to celebrate this honor bestowed on their Leader.

I don't think they were very happy when they realized the Onion was all about satire and parodies. :D

Well, when you look at Kim Jong Un there is a LOT to make fun of and parody.

Glad my pick was wrong.

My boy Mahomes!!!!
OK here we go. This post is nothing against Mahomes. He seems to be in a class by himself right now. But....

I think the KC defense is getting little and no credit for that comeback. Yes, Mahomes does deserve a lot of credit. We all know when your team finds themselves down in a game by 2 or more scores, the first thing you have to do is stop the other team from scoring any more points and widening the gap. At that point you can't trade TDs and FGs. Stopping SF is exactly what the KC defense did at the end.

After KC made it 20-17 what was the most important thing at that point for KC? Making SF go 3 and out on their next drive, which is what they did for the first time in that game. Once that happened, I think we all knew who was going to end up winning that game. Or, we had a strong hunch at least. But, SF still had opportunities to win. Poor play calling and the total meltdown of Garoppolo sealed their fate.

Mahomes is a great QB right now. But, I'll submit this. He has a lot of help too. The KC O-line is in the top five in the NFL. And it sure as hell doesn't hurt to be able to throw the ball to Sammy Watkins, Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill. And the KC offensive scheme is excellent.

Hey guys,

Patrick Mahomes is at the United Center. Can someone there just grab him and hold him here for Bears minicamp in July??
