Yeah, there is no way that guy can be serious. I'm sure my Titans were told to get down 16-0 and then rally to tie it at 16, and then give up a long bomb to go down 23-16 and then lose 1 yard short...all because the NFL thought Kurt Warner and Vermeil would be a better off-season story than the Titans winning. LOL

The Titans threw the game? No. The refs turning a blind eye to calls in favor of the smaller market team? Absolutely.

Nashville is a bigger city than St. Louis FYI. I'd assume it was still by a couple hundered thousand in the year 2000. Both teams were from relative small market cities. The Titans went up against one of the best offenses in NFL history with one starting safety out for the game, and one got hurt in the 3rd quarter. Honestly they were lucky it was that close and I am a huge Titans fan! I digress.

As for this game, really disappointed in Carolina so far. They have given the game to Denver.

Wow. Before the game I thought that Denver had to play a perfect game to win. Carolina didn't. Denver's defense is getting it done.....and their offense hasn't given it away. I shudder to think how good Denver would be if Peyton wasn't 167 yrs past his prime.

Geez, we get the point - people have sex after the game in Super Bowl cities.

Game is good, commercials have sucked.

It's not that I want Carolina to win but want Manning to lose.

I've always taken a sick pleasure in watching him lose then throw his teammates under the bus in the post game interview.

Fair point. I would point out, though, that the Vermile / Warner story line plays much better in the media than any story on the Titan's team, much like Manning going out a winner plays well with audiences. The NFL has a definite interest in the better story taking place. I posit that they take steps to foster the creation of that story.

Why are you guys discussing conspiracy theories? Nothing in this game points to the NFL trying to let/make the Broncos win.

Panthers have been recipients of 3 horrible calls tonight. Refs want Manning to win.

The Panthers need to run some shorter routes instead of trying to get 20+ yards at a time. I think Cam is trying to hard to make that ONE big play instead of making the easy play that is given to him.

So far its been a really good defensive game. Two really good defenses just duking it out.

Carolina didn't help themselves at all in this game. Over 60 yards of penalties in the second half to Denver's zero. Combine that with Denver's extremely good defense and that's the game. You can't stress how good Denver's Defense is enough. They just beat a darn good football team with little to no help from the offense.

Hahaha! Peyton did nothing to help his team win this game, but he didn't lose it for them either. Love seeing Peyton go out with the W and breaking the tie with Brett at 199 for his 200th win. His time is done and the fact that his team carried him to a Super Bowl victory is ok by me.

My wife's dad and step mom are professors at Appy State and big Panther's fans, go to Charlotte for a game every season and were really stoked about Carolina. We won't mention that we were rooting for Trevathan. :)

Looks like Danny's got himself a Super Bowl ring

Always had mad respect for Manning, but can't believe he had to throw the sponsor shot in there saying he is going to drink a lot of Budweiser tonight and then follows it up with he is thanking the man up stairs. Really lol?

Oh come on. There isn't a single one us that wouldn't throw out a shot with the millions he's getting for doing it. Heck, I'd sound like a NASCAR driver out there.

Glad to see the guy win his last one, but sad to know that this is the end of it.

Been watching Peyton since i was 12. I'm 33 now. My favorite player ever, and the reason I'm a Colts fan.

If anyone watched the cbs sports post game show on the cbs sports network you would have seen exactly why many don't like Cam Newton.

Cam was sulking and pouting with his hood over his head during his media interview sitting at the podium.

He blamed his receivers for drops and line for giving up sacks.

Complete immature brat who expected it to be handed to him. CBS Sports network announcer just hounded him and said he expected more than what he saw from him in the interview.

Cam Newton showing to be a sore loser in the press conference.

A lot of one word answers, then walks out after 3 minutes.

Didn't even do the Dab once.

Cam Newton:

"We lost! What do you want me to say?"

"We made a lot of mistakes, dropped passes and allowing sacks"

"We lost"

Then completely ignored a question asking him to talk about his teammates performance since he was obviously upset at them. Then he walked out.

This guy is a pathetic sport and deserved to lose.

I like Cam but he sure doesn't make himself look good on and off the field. At least Peyton was gracious in the Super Bowl two years when they got destroyed.

Dude..hate on him all you want...because he did act like a punk...but don't act JUST LIKE A MEDIA MEMBER WITH AN AGENDA and take things out of context... guess what else he said.. misthrown passes ...why didn't you include that

Manning is a better story for the NFL to sell all off-season. Ergo, the Broncs will win.

I'm serious; the NFL is little more than WWE with helmets on.

Lol to the conspiracy nutjob... if it was staged we never would have seen a super bowl featuring teams from tennesee and Missouri

Way to sacrifice yourself to recover YOUR fumble there superman. What a Nancy. Guess he didn't want to get hands dirty. Seeing him whine and lose was very enjoyable.

Manning acted much the same in his early playoff losses.

Google some of his whining with the Colts.
