Thoughts? Predictions? Bets?

I picked Denver last year (
) and I'm going with Seattle this time, 20-16, in a battle of field goals.

Also placed a small bet on a Seattle first-score safety. What the hell, maybe it'll happen again. I didn't want any part of the line since it's a coin-toss game to me.

Sherman is more of a zone cover guy, Brady doesn't throw picks to those guys, plus he will avoid Sherman if possible. I am having a really tough time getting a read on this one. I have had the last 2 right on, last year I even kind of knew exactly how it would play out, thinking the Seahawks would come out hard early then it would be a game to see if they could hold on while Manning tried to comeback, the Seahawks just buried Denver in the opening and left no chance for a comeback. This year though you have to tough hard nosed teams, one slightly better offensively and one slightly better defensively.

New England in a somewhat easy win. People forget how bad their run D is, and that's really all N.E. will do with a stable of backs. Then the play action is there all. Plus their defense is just good enough to match up great with a lessor offense.

Didn't Belichek get the New England job after Carroll left/got fired?

My inside sources in the NFL league office has filled me in. You heard it here first:

The league has instructed the officials to give Seattle a favorable whistle. Expect New England to get a large amount of false start penalties, making Brady attempt long passes against the LOB. They don't want another controversy on their hands, which is exactly what will happen if the Pats win after this whole deflate-gate thing.

Pats lose = deflate-gate goes away
Pats win = deflate gate is talked about every day for the entire offseason.

? The Seahawks rank third in yards per rush allowed and fourth in rushing yards per game allowed.

Yes this is a revenge game for Carroll.

Madden curse strikes again. Sherman rolls ankle in the 2nd and can't return after halftime. Brady exposes the weakness to 3 TDs in the 2nd half. Pats win by 10. Katy Perry wears something political......probably an "I heart all things Democrat" body suit. When asked about it later she says, "No one should own guns and all immigrants should be placed on a $15/hr minimum wage just b/c."

Seahawks- 29 Pats- 26

Fully expect that Seahawk defense to score a TD or two. Expecting a much better game than last year. I'd be surprised if it was a blowout either way.

Statistically that is true Deeefense, but look at every loss they took, they got be badly by the run.

New England can and will run the ball effectively because they are New England and execute a game plan better than most teams.

Most if not all of those games were when Bobby Wagner was out. I heard one of the talking heads on ESPN say a while ago that the Seahawks run defense allows 1 YPC less with Wagner than without. Needless to say - that is huge.

I look for New England to spread it out a lot and try to get the ball to Shane Verene running it and in short passes. I think they might have some success doing that. I'll go so far as to say I think Blont will be a non-factor.

Your logic makes no sense. The NFL would love to have everyone talking about controversy all off season. So they would be more likely to help the Pats.

I'd like for the Pats to win just so everyone's head explodes and the media trying to come to terms with it. I used to hate New England but Seattle's coach, mouthy dbag players, and the amazing amount of new Seahawks fans I had never seen before, are why I'm rooting against them.

But I would prefer both teams to lose somehow.

New England utilizes the rink and dink pass better than any team I've ever seen. I thought Seattle would be able to stop them in their tracks, but the Patriots are getting good runs after the catch.

And Wilson is looking awful again, although he doesn't have much to throw to.

Man, if we could turn schmaltz into energy, these super bowl commercials could power the entire eastern sea board.

And Marshawn Lynch - I kinda hate that guy ever since he buried me one week in FF.

If Seattle holds on, Matthews has a great chance to be named MVP. What an unbelievable story. Worked at Foot Locker last year.

Absolutely. I still can't believe it. That offensive coordinator should be dusting off his resume tonight.

What a 1 play collapse. That was the dumbest play call in the history of the sport. You got a guy averaging 4 yards a carry in the game and a 6'5 guy they can't cover on the sidelines and you throw a quick slant to a 5'6 guy with no mass?

I thought green bay collapsed.

Kentucky Football. Play awesome for 3 quarters. Had a shot at a jump ball couldn't get it. Then get a gift to the 5 yard only to call the dumbest play ever. ***** Mode

Seattle didn't deserve it after the BS game they played against Green Bay.
