I actually know several law enforcement officers and they all said the same thing that the shooting wasn't justified. Didn’t follow protocol and needlessly escalated the situation.

Another reason we are holding off is that my wife had surgery in November and is still recovering. We are not going to leave Illinois until her health issues are fully resolved.

The regular normal everyday American posters here seek truth and post truth. If you present truths, you would be taken seriously. You need the car, the gun and the body to help determine:
The angle of the first shot. Where exactly was the officer relative to the vehicle? Physical evidence can provide additional information.
Which bullet killed her? If it was the first bullet, then he may have a defense. If it was the second and third bullets, it was a homicide.
Again why withhold physical evidence? Shouldn't everyone want to know the truth?

Putting aside all types of electric or battery devices for specific mandatory times. (I assume you have not issued cell phones ?) Grandchild # 8 is 12, and as a result of stated goals by his Parents (Honor Roll) has been granted his own cell phone with limited use and NO drop from the Honor Roll !
IMO, the best use for developing children is a Library Card AND it's REQUIRED use !
