Na. Binary triggers and other such gimmicks have been around forever. They aren’t going anywhere. They are utterly useless for most folks, but they aren’t illegal and aren’t likely to become illegal.
Question: I have an AR-15 with a bump stock. Are they still illegal? I think Trump ordered that action after some big shooting somewhere (LasVegas.....Aldean Concert?). I was going to take it off but forgot. Guess I better, before I get 10 years in some Federal prison, huh?
Supreme Court ruled the bump stock ban unconstitutional. In other words, not illegal. Amazing how our legal system is set up with checks and balances to keep us from living under the whims of politicians prone to emotional over-reaction.
They came out in 2015, so they are ten years old and survived both Barak Obama and Joe Biden. They aren’t going anywhere.

I must have watched the same video as you. If that ain’t considered the exact same thing as a full auto then I don’t know what would be.
That’s because you don’t know what you are looking at. The trigger still has to be “manipulated”. It’s not full auto, though it does a great job of simulating full auto. Again, I don’t have a reason to own one, but it is not the same as a full auto machine gun and after the supreme court’s last ruling I see little reason to believe that these will be made illegal. The ATF can make suggestions, but they are a law enforcement body and not a law making body.

I don’t own one and I have zero desire to own one, but using the correct terminology and being precise in your language matters when discussing these subjects. Education > ignorance.
