and awkward. As if my father tried to announce a game. The taglines aren't even that original and calling the student section the 6th man is the worst make-up call ever (for taking our seats away). Flick just had a way about it. His slogans even made it onto the back of tshirts. When was the last time you heard anyone in the Hump saying the new guy's lines along with him?

for the intro video? I can't stand our new intro video's music. The hump is so awkwardly quiet when it plays. I miss getting chill bumps from our old video and everyone getting loud during it.

Did he want to go or did other people want a new voice?
This new guy blows and I couldn't agree more that our intro is completely ridiculous!

If the ninja were to take a vote on this would he actually bring him back?

for Ninja to bring him back would be for students and alumni to make public their discontent of our current announcer and moreso to shed more public light on fans' desire for Flick to return to basketball. No doubt, Flick was fired. No doubt he would return if asked, but if it is going to happen, the young Byrne must masticate down a huge slice of humble pie and ask Flick back himself. I like this new guy for football (or moreso the entire new saturday footballgameday atmostphere), but Flick was a statement of home basketball for years and when I was in school, we all loved the enthusiasm he projected at the Hump. The unique nasal shrieks were a great motivator to a lazy basketball crowd

Of course, the rumor at the time of Flick's firing was that Byrne offered to let him stay on for basketball. Flick then drew his line in the sand and said he wanted to do both football and basketball or neither. So Byrne went with neither. If that really was the case, no one is to blame but Flick himself. I understand swallowing your pride and taking a demotion would suck. Hell, I'm not sure I'd be willing to do it myself. But if Flick really wanted to do hoops, he probably would be.
