Supplement to Men's Basketball Expectations

I think this year will be bad for Men's basketball, but I still support Stansbury because it's a rebuilding year. With that in mind, I want to add some information to supplement the discussion of expectations with MSU basketball. Here is how I would rank the SEC over the past 10 years (Stans tenure). I ranked NCAAT appearance first with precedence to latest appearances and national titles and such. I say State is at the very least in the top half of the league and could be placed above arkansas and close to TN with the SEC Titles and Division Champs. I'd say that we probably aren't going to elevate ourselves over a Florida or Kentucky with a coaching hire, so the amount of jump that we can make up is minimal. I'd be happy with Stansbury as long as we don't have an extended stretch out of the NCAA Touney. Pretty much what everyone else (except for the die hard stans haters who are hard on him even when he wins) has said. Give him at least one more year.

And LSU, Alabama, AUBURN, Vandy, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Florida have all gone much farther in the NCAAT than Stains has at MSU. The kicker, all of those schools have had a coaching change during that time with the exception of Florida and Alabama.

They either were placed on probation or were being investigated because of ellis. Don't remember which, but I'm pretty sure that's why.
