I was joking that if MSU made it to the SEC championship, my husband and I would show up and wear those. We've been admiring Day's sleeves for a while. (We're not big tattoo people, really, but DD's are pretty noticeable .)
I have mixed feelings about having a big "support Dillon Day" statement. I like him a lot based on my impression of who he is in the press and in social media, but I'd prefer that State players not get associated with dirty play and stomping on people. I'd like move on quickly and hope that everyone forgets about it.
Folks just need to move on. The suspension won't be reversed regardless of anyone's opinion of the series of plays. We have a big game coming up and 'support' should be focused on the replacement for the game. Day has no effect on the outcome of the A&M game so I'm not really concerned for him at the moment. Day will be back, and he'll have his opportunity to prove himself against Auburn and beyond.
I doesn't matter if some of "us" don't like the suspension, it's important to realize that perception is reality. The overwhelming perception is that he's guilty. We don't need any more bad national press. Let it go and move on.
