Huge home game coming up next Saturday at 3:30pm. Another P5 opponent coming into town and a very good chance to go 3-0 heading to Michigan. This team has played well to start the year and deserves a full house when they face the Hokies.
Agree with everything you said. I hope our fans turn out, especially on what should be a gorgeous warm (but not hot or muggy) day. 3-0 would be huge.

Agree it should be sold out. Time to stop the negative Nancy crap and get people to the game AND IN Their Friggin seats 15 minutes BEFORE kick off! Cut the tail gates down earlier. Embarrassing

Man, tonight the student section was electric in the first half. The rest of us who did show up were into the game and made it as loud as it could be, just not enough of us yet. These kids ( yes even with all the NCAA crap and NIL crap these are kids playing) really need as many of us to be there as possible. I have been to a lot of stadiums and arenas, and know a packed Rutgers Stadium would match or exceed any other live venue ANYWHERE! NJ can be loud! RU is not elite yet, but RU is getting there, and and our stadium presence can make a difference. Let’s go New Jersey! RRRR…UUUU.

This is a huge game because like 98% of the college football teams we won’t be beating Ohio state , michigan or penn state so that leaves us the rest of the games to get 6 wins. VT is a good opponent to test us to see how much we have grown this year .

Hopefully the non diehards show up to fill the stadium. Make RU Stadium a tough place to play for opponents like it used to be with deafening noise.

VT typically plays to a huge home field advantage.

I coached my son’s afternoon middle school football game up in Sussex county yesterday which included waiting through a 1 hour lightning/rain delay. We ran to the car after the game ended and drove over an hour and got to our seats by the tail end of the second quarter.

I don’t want to hear ANY bs excuses why fans don’t get to the game.

I said this yesterday to my group...they need to add more people scanning tickets at the gates. While I know there are limited entry points that everyone has to funnel into but if they had 4-5 people deep scanning tickets things would move much faster. They do this in the parking lots which I find funny to keep the flow of traffic moving but do not do it at the gates.
We didn't get into the stadium until 7:30 and were on line for 15mins and there was a huge crowd. This can easily be fixed bc people are attempting to get into the stadium. This is NOT an issue with fans not showing up on time though that does still remain a larger issue

Do other stadiums get you in faster than 15 min?

I used to make the drive from Sussex County , not the easiest.

Against NW, I was drinking into 3am Territory the night before after a wedding and I was in the lot with a hair of the dog and a bagel by 10am , barely coherent but I made it into the stadium by 12:20

Yes!!! Other stadiums entry is much more efficient than Rutgers

The other large issue is the bag entry....that is one line on the North gate to check everyones bags. They can improve that as well

I noticed that in the NW game, we saw a long *** line , asked if that is the actual line to get in. Was told of you didn’t have bags , which we didn’t cuz were dudes, we could enter at the turnstile that had no line. We got in right away

Are other stadiums efficient?

RU staffs the admission gates as if we are still operating in the paper ticket stub days. One quick tear and you were inside. It’s a longer process to scan the tickets and RU hasn’t adjusted as other venues have. RU needs to take some of the money they are saving on ticket distribution and put it into more staffing at the gates.

I don’t have a reference point because I haven’t been to other venues unless it’s through work. Took my group 10 min but thought that was fair given the amount of people trying to get in. Was annoyed they closed my normal gate for some reason.

Video is a game vs WVU.. isn't that a big game for them? Suggesting it is not a typical game.

Yep. We'll have 8 1/2 hours to tailgate if necessary (or you're married to @MrsScrew). Shut them down and get into your seats please.

Been going to one game a year in The Big House for the last 20 years. Amazing how well they get over 110,000 people in that stadium so efficiently. Most of the crowd, except for some late arriving students, are seated before kickoff. Same is true at Autzen Stadium for Oregon games.

Do their fans all wait until 15 min before and get in within 15 min? Thought someone posted the same issue at PSU.

This ^^^ I noticed it takes a lot longer to scan 5 tickets than rip off 5 stubs. Now multiply that by 20,000 coming in 15 to 20 mins. before kickoff and you get cluster ****. You want the digital age Rutgers, than put in the infrastructure to handle it.
