No question the WRs. Just passing along notes from a friend that was there.

Yeah, Paul said he made a nice catch in traffic today. We have a nice mix of size and athleticism out on the edges. Only problem is, we don't have many guys with excessive amounts of both. Hopefully Ross develops into that guy.

i dont want to be a debbie downer, but didnt morrow have a good pre-season last year? i would love to see ross make an impact this year, but we should probably temper our expectations for a highly touted wr. heaven knows we need somebody to step up at wr this season, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. let it be a pleasant surprise if and when it happens before we start subconsciously heaping on expectations and initiating preemptive sps meltdowns.

Big difference in the two coming out of highschool IMO. Morrow was crazy raw and never really a question regarding redshirting(even though he was at a size for a position that we didn't have a single other legitimate option, which we now have) -- Ross is the most "ready to go" receiver we've gotten so far IMO. There's just generally a big development difference between upper classification Texas highschool football and Ocean Springs, Ms...

I'd roll my dice with Tubby, RoJo, Malcolm, and Ross right now against Green, Bump, Clark, and Smith last year... Just alot more potential gamebreaking talent there instead of the solid, never spectacular performance we got from the other 4 last year. We'll see how well it actually performs this year...

just pointing out the fact that talk doesnt translate into production. agreed on ross potentially being on a different level....if for nothing else, a fun and gun offense (osu) wanted him badly. they know their ****, so glad we got him.

Is Prescott back from his injury and practicing?

I can't recall if he had surgery or not. Wasn't something wrong with his toe?

Had turf toe surgery and basically sat out the spring. Well, not really, he went through a bunch of the drills basically sitting down..

He's back and at 100% now...

I understand your point -- I just think people were fired up about what Morrow could potentially turn into. People are fired up about what Ross is right now. That's the difference IMO...

"In traffic" with pads on will be different for our youngsters and ya'lls. I remember Thursdays (walk-thrus) before Friday games in High School. I was unstoppable those days

Dak played most of the year with turf toe. He is back healthy and ready don't be surprised when his contributions become greater than people expect. He's a beast.

I wish I had a nickel every time someone used the term 'beast' to describe one of our players lately. That term seems to get thrown around rather loosely these days. Would like to see some of our players actually dominate in games against top quality competition before referring to them as a 'beast'.

EXACTLY! I remember someone last year said Josh Robinson looked like Trent Richardson...I really don't give a damn who or what they look like, its whether or not they show up and play.

No kidding! They really need to quit throwing that word around. The big boys will come in and all look like the BEAST MASTER!

A freshman in sec. 8 TD the only freshman to throw td. Against LSU and Alabama in 25 yrs. the only one to throw them in there stadiums and played with turf toe all year. He's earned the beast adjective.

I hope that he is all that and more, because if he is and he can't unseat Tyler for starting QB, then we will be awesome on offense!
