I watched the DVR ofthe game last night. Pretty weak effort except for Rinne. Zero traffic at the crease all night.

TooToo is my boy and he got baited last night, but I need to ask this. Are those whistles when he's on the ice as annoying in the arena as they are on TV?

Tootoo was much better when he was fighting. They're trying to make him into something he's not, which is a consistent scorer. He's just not that good offensively. He will always be a 3rd liner at best. The only thing he does now is draw power plays, which isn't a strength of the preds and never has been. IMO he gets more penalties than he draws and isn't worth it.

He's still the best fighter on the team...although I'd love to see Weber fight more; he's too valuable to fight all the time however.

As far as the whistles go, a 4 year old kid sat behind me with one of them Saturday night and I was about ready to shove it up his nose. He was even blowing it when he wasn't on the ice.

I realize Toots is a fan favorite because of his name, girls think he's cute, he's a physical player, and he's a good fighter especially for his size, but I think he just takes up roster space.

well......I just re-read your post - I thought you said 'what a weak effort for Rinne' - that dude was dancing on his head last night. Had some great saves on a couple 1 on 1 breakaways. And yes, we were completely dominated pretty much the whole night, less the first 3 or 4 minutes of the game. I think we were outshot 14-7 in the first period and 4 of those shots on goal were from mid ice or further it seemed. We just couldn't get it going. As long as we don't face San Jose in the first round, I think we could make some noise but we'll have to play much better than we did last night. The good thing is Pekka is playing great right now, just need to get the offense going. And I feel we will.<div>
</div><div>To answer your question though - I don't find them annoying at all. I actually get a chuckle from them every time he enters the game. It's never even crossed my mind that they could be annoying, so I guess I may be the wrong person to answer this question.</div>

........finally played again monday at floridafor the first time in a while that i've noticed. He got in a heavyweight match with Steve MacIntyre but got dropped after they both went toe-to-toe for a while.

if I was closer to nashville and made a lot of games instead of the usaul 3-4, I'd probably have one of those whistles.
