Swain v Murphy 1987 Regular Season Game Question

I have tried to find some newspaper links but have not been able to do so. Interested in reading any material about the game from both the Murphy or Bryson City newspapers. Also, curious to see if there were any crowd estimates reported.

Just my personal recollection it was big crowd...Asheville citizen writer Keith Jarret was probably the reporter who wrote the game story I think he still writes....again on personal recollection dogs got in the hole early with couple turnovers...Then tried to rally late but interception by I believe Greg Taylor clinched it 27-23...Taylor was real good athlete for Swain....Dogs won playoff rematch 2 weeks later in one of, if not the coldest games Ive been to. brutal conditions

Thanks. I have been in the hall of fame. That is sharp. Not many schools have that nice or indepth of a set up. Reminded me of Valdosta, GA.

Taylor was an impressive athlete. Footballer with those type of distance running skills.
