They just announced on the local Mobile news that beer will be sold at the game this week. There is already a post over there about it.

So annoying when people drink in front of you and you have to wait to drink until you are hiding it at home**

I'm an old prude then....

stadium beer always sucks. It's also rare that I'm at a game that I want to drink into oblivion. If it got that bad, I got out of the stadium.

Nah, I'm with you and I'm not that old at all. It's not like people are really having a hard time drinking at the games if they really want to. (They blatantly cater to it in the club level) Except with beer sales, now people have to get up every fifteen minutes and get a beer or go pee. Come to a football game to watch football. Go to a bar or tailgate if you wanna get drunk. I'm sure there is some money to be made, but there is a whole bunch of headache to go along with it.

There will be 21 on-campus stadiums where beer sales will be permitted this season. According to a survey, about half of those schools' concessions revenue is derived from alcohol sales.

Beer will be legal in every sec venue within 10 years. It is coming.

Clearly people go to events to do both. Drink and watch. Would you tell people to go to a concert to watch music but save all that drinkin for the bar?

Lighten up Francis
