I heard this morning that this might actually cost him his job. His sweethart commment several years ago it what cost him doing the 6:45 slot SEC night games. This is really going to far. The problem is the double standard look at the comments from Crowder about White.

She credits SportsbyBrooks in her blog, then says:Edwards replied: "Don't call me sweetcakes, I don't like being talked to like that."
Franklin then said, "Okay then, [expletive]."</p>

<span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Franklin reported the incident</span>, coordinating producer Ed Placey
confirmed it and Franklin was pulled from the Fiesta Bowl broadcast. </p>

SportsbyBrooks says
</p>
When she did, Franklin said to her, “Why don’t you leave this to the boys, sweetcakes.”

Edwards responded to Franklin by saying, “don’t call me sweetcakes, I don’t like being talked to like that.”</p>

Franklin then said, “okay then, a–hole.”</p>

<span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">After the meeting Edwards reported Franklin’s comments to ESPN management.</span><span id="more-29388"></span></p>
Once ESPN college football coordinating producer Ed Placey
confirmed Franklin’s comments to Edwards with Cunningham, ESPN
executives made an attempt to pull Franklin off the Chick-fil-A Bowl
broadcast the same day.
So there you have it. This sweetcakes should leave blogging to the men. And by "sweetcakes" I mean face-looks-like-it-got-run-over-by-a-truck cakes.

Am I reading this right? A female blogger making an anti-sexism post wrote this:

Perhaps this is an entry better left to one of the big, strong male
bloggers, but they're all busy drinking testosterone and talking about
tires.

Way to uphold the ideal there.
