This will be the Bulldogs final tune up before they invade Tiger territory. The Eagles had a good showing defensively last week against Midway, holding them to 27 points. I don't think they'll be able to keep the clock from not running against the dogs. Look for the Bulldogs to put this one away early, then turn their focus to Halloween

Two winless teams from Wayne County will settle it on the field Friday night. The Cougars has had a decent showing this season, in their loss to Southern Wayne 32-26. While the Gators has only scored three touchdowns all season. I expect this to be a fun game for both of these teams, to be honest, those players from both squads deserve to see some fruit of all the hard work that they have put in practice after practice. I command those kids for getting up, every time they were knocked down all season. May the best team win! G 34 SC 14

My Tigers will hit the road for a battle against a Bulldogs team that'll be looking to pull off an upset on homecoming night. The Bulldogs will be ready for this one, so my Tigers better be focus, and not looking ahead to the other set of Bulldogs awaiting them next week. Look for the Tigers defense to get the party started in this one, and contain Princeton's rushing attack. While the Tigers offense just keep doing what it's been doing all season, rolling over anyone in their path. JK 47 P 12

The conference crown
is up for grabs in this one, and once again the Chargers from Ayden-Grifton find themselves in a position nobody expected them to be in. But this time the task is a bit difficult then last season. They'll be trying to take down the undefeated, #1 ranked Vikings, who hasn't lost a conference game in over 10 years. So good luck with that! Both teams comes in to this one having shutout wins last week, the Vikings defeated Beddingfield 55-0, while the Chargers were impressive in their 35-0 win over Greene Central. Do the Chargers have enough to take down the defending 1A champs! I don’t think so, cause every time we think that it's going to be a tough opponent for the Vikings, they make it look easy. T 42 AG 7

The Gators proved me wrong once again last week with their impressive comeback win over Currituck. I thought that they were dead in the water when they were down by two scores heading into the 4th quarter. But their defense stiffened up, and the Knights wasn't able to put up anymore points. Now I know that this Gators team is for real, and they're playing some great football at the right time. So what do the Gators get after a tough comeback win like that, they get the 2A defending Eastern champions in the Northeastern Eagles coming to town. This should be a good one! The Eagles will be looking for a share of the conference crown with a win, and the Gators will be looking to be crown the conference champions out right. I think that if the Gators doesn't have an emotional let down from last week's win, and not be siked out by who the Eagles are, then they'll have a great chance at winning this game. It's going to be a battle, and the Eagles could be over confident, and I think the Gators will walk away victorious and be crowned Northeastern Coastal 3a/4a conference champions. N 22 MC 27

With another conference crown up for grabs, the undefeated Warriors invades Wildcats territory. This is an old rivalry, and the Warriors has won three straight against the Wildcats. The Wildcats has really turned it around this season, after winning only one game a season ago. And now they can stamp this turnaround with a conference title. I'll give the edge to the Wildcats because they're at home, but it won't be easy. L 31 B 35

This was almost a match up between two teams, undefeated in the Carolina 1A/2A conference, with both teams on five games winning streaks, but the Leopards got caught looking ahead, and didn't show up last week at East Bladen falling 32-0. While the Wildcats held up their end of the bargain beating West Columbus 42-28. Now the Leopards
only hope for a share of the conference crown is to beat the Wildcats, and that North Duplin can get pass the Wildcats next week. It seems like the Wildcats have figured something out, cause they are on a roll offensively, after dropping their first three games of the season. They has scored four or more touchdowns a game since. I don't know if the Leopards will be able to slow them down. H 28 L 22

Everyone thought that this conference would be a cake walk for the Panthers when it was announced. But the Patriots has showed up and said, "not so fast my friend." The Patriots are undefeated, and will be looking to stay that way when the dust is settled Friday night. It seems as if the Panthers has struggled more offensively this season, one would've thought that their offense would be their strength this season, but it's their defense. And boy are they going to need their defense for this one. The Patriots has scored over a 100 points more than the Panthers have on the season. No one has been able to slow down this Patriots's offense that's averaging 44 points a game. This will be a great task for the Panthers coaching staff, who are great with halftime adjustments. And I believe that they'll continue with their great halftime adjustments, and will hand the Patriots their first loss of the season. ED 35 P 21
