My Tigers passed their Raiders's exam last week 42-22. JK jumped on the Raiders early, but the Raiders didn't quit. They kept the game close in the first half, but my Tigers
made life hard for them in the second half. Even though Midway tried to get to my Tigers with some cheap shots, and rough play, (that shouldn't be allowed on the football field). I get it, my Tigers play a very physical game of smash mouth football, and some teams can't take that kind of physicality, so they will try to do any and everything to get under your skin. But my Tigers stayed focused, and celebrated a homecoming victory. Now my Tigers will hit the road to face a Cougars team that hasn't shown any signs of life. Look for my Tigers to take care of business, and look forward to a nonconference match up against 5a C. B. Aycock. Jk 56 G 0

ONE TWO WALLACE COMING FOR YOU, THREE FOUR, YOU BETTER LOCK YOUR DOOR, FIVE SIX GET YOUR DEFENSE FIXED, SEVEN EIGHT, YOUR OFFENSE BETTER BE STRAIGHT!! Uh oh, here comes the Wallace Rose Hill Bulldogs!! Finally, the real Wallace Rose Hill Bulldogs has showed up for the 2025 season. I guess it's better late than never. The Bulldogs ran through another conference foe last week, defeating Princeton 49-16. With back to back blowout wins, the dogs has arrived. Now they gets a Raiders team that's wounded, after getting smashed by my Tigers 42-22. This should be a good one! Look for the Bulldogs to keep the ball on the ground, and run 
pass the Raiders. The Raiders will need to keep the Bulldog's defense off balance with their rushing and passing attack. The Raiders will have home field advantage, but that has never mattered to a Bulldogs team. I look for the Bulldogs to dominate the Raiders, and keep their momentum going. WRH 35 M 8

The Gators have won three in a row, with two of those wins coming by way of shutouts. And now they'll hit the road to face a Panthers team who is having their best season in a long time. The Panthers let one slip away from them last week at home, against Hertford County. After leading 25-12 at halftime, they watched the Bears dominate the second half, and walked away victorious 26-25. The Panthers may have lost focus, and started looking ahead to a red hot Gators team. The Gators are battle tested and I look for them to continue to roll in this one. MC 28 P 7

This Jaguars's team is tricky, they have one quality win against 6a DH. Conley. And Conley is a pretty good team, so I don't know how the Jaguars pulled it off, but can that Jaguars team show up again. Farmville beat a lifeless Beddingfield team last week 42-0, and the Vikings made quick work of Greene Central 56-16. Look for the Vikings to continue to dominate. FC 7 T 49

This is not the Vikings team that everyone was high on coming into this season. That Vikings team was supposed to be explosive on offense, with two D1 receivers, and the only question was, could their defense take a step forward. Well we're six games in and that offense has only shown up twice, and that was against their Lenoir County little brothers S. Lenoir and N. Lenoir. Meanwhile the Rams
ate a bunch of cupcakes 
earlier in this season, and don't seem to have any appetite for a steak dinner. The Rams has lost two straight at home, and were blown out in both. They'll need to start fast in this one, and don't let the Vikings offense get going. I believe that the Rams will fight to the very end in this one, but will fall short. K 27 GC 26
SOUTH BRUNSWICK 4-2 1-0 @ WHITEVILLE 4-2 1-0
The 5a Cougars comes in to this one winners of their last four games, after dropping their first two. The Wolfpack dominated West Bladen 34-7 last week. The winner of this one will be in the driver seat to win the conference crown. I think the Wolfpack defense will slow the Cougars offense down and come away with the victory. SB 13 W 21
(16)SOUTHWEST EDGECOMBE 4-2 2-0 @ NORTH PITT 3-4 2-1
Both of these teams are battle tested, and I look for this one to be a battle as well. The Cougars better not look at the Panthers 3-4 record, and think that this will be a walk in the park. If they do, than they'll have a quiet bus ride home. The Cougars defense will need to make their presence felt early in this one. And the Panthers will need to force a couple of turnovers. This is a tough one to call, cause I know that the Panthers will come out and fight to defend their home field. And I also feel like the Cougars defense could show up and dominate. SWE 34 NP 14
