is SXU is not compare able to the Wolfpack but they are
one of the top teams in the country NAIA. The question is
was this kid ever going to reach the NFL? Let's be honest not
many make it. My son got a Business degree and has been
Working at a good job and just bought his first home. He's 26.
I would say the kid needs to be happy and the education comes first
SXU did my son right. Who knows maybe he will get coach Fem another
Championship.
Go Cougars!!
Corey:
It's obvious you didn't read my posts very carefully. I specifically said we were talking football, not education. But a degree at UNR isn't an insult either.
I am glad your son had a good experience at SXU.
No, the question isn't whether the kid is going to see the NFL. I am not sure where you came up with that. The NFL has nothing to do with this other than the fact I mentioned Kaepernick. But I mentioned him to bring out the quality of the program at UNR.
I also said if both offers were equal I couldn't figure out why the kid wouldn't go to UNR. Of course the offers probably weren't equal and according to another poster, the offer from UNR was pulled anyway so that is a moot point. I seriously doubt if all things were equal that SXU was going to be this kid's first choice, from a football standpoint, over UNR.
If a kid has a chance to play at an NAIA school good for him. However, if the kid has the talent to play at a school such as UNR and gets a good offer he is crazy not to challenge himself at that level.
Again, I have nothing against SXU, but I would rather see my son playing the competition UNR plays and in a bowl game at the end of the season than three semi-final NAIA games. No offense, just reality.
