You mean like the world-renowned Islamic feminist Malala, who was stopped in transport to her school and shot in the head for continuing to pursue her education? Who then went on to claim that for Muslim women to be free, they had to renounce their faith and culture due to it being intrinsically oppressive?

And she's the only one in 1.4 billion people. Is that it?

Hirsi Ali would love to chime in on this conversation. Female mutilation( widely practiced in Muslim some countries) is a huge problem for women in these areas.

The fact the there's only one circling in public knowledge is enough of an indictment for those that don't have an agenda to promote acceptance and tolerance of a cancer to western society. Scratch that, I suppose two (Ali) is more than enough, right?

Well you and vanillaslice seem to be doing a pretty good job of it.

Or -- and here's a novel idea -- there's been a whole lot of not reading what's been said. There's been a whole lot of Rush Limbaugh-style selected spin outrage going on. Why, I have no idea. We're not broadcasting to some wider audience of daft, easily frightened old people here. There's a couple of dozen people reading this.

The infectious denial attitude of Obama and his admin has created folks like this. Ignorance.

What's about to happen to this country is because of people like this. It's gonna get much worse and this country will have brought it upon themselves. I am so tired of hearing that Islam is a religion of peace. The only people they are peaceful with are those that accept or believe like they do.
I have not said one word supportive of Islam, much less called it a "religion of peace." All I have done is challenge the counterfactual, anti-Muslim script of a fanatic lynch mob in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Have you ever even heard of a book called "Reading Lolita in Tehran"? Very popular book a few years ago. I won't spoil it for you. Well, it's a memoir and you really can't spoil a memoir. But the "surprise" for lots of readers was to discover that the 21st century is all over the world.

During the Bathroom Wars a few weeks back, a little factoid slipped out. Sexual re-assignment surgery is practiced in Iran. And the cost is picked up by the state.

What a weird world we live in.

What's to be believed more..

..that a group of thousands of grown ups conspired to frame 3 little kids to prove their point. Using minors which would be sealed, and using non Syrians, which wouldn't go as far as if it were 3 Syrians.

OR... that the government, which can't ever blame anything on Islamic terrorists is doing their best to sweep this under the rug.

You choose which seems more likely.

I like the way you talk about "the government" like its one big unified monolith that always speaks with one voice. Like Obama is pulling the strings of some small-town prosecutor (Republican, by the way) in Idaho. And, by the way, I vote for the first option. Plenty of people will make up **** to prove a point, especially when it involves perceived outsiders, as you've proven over and over again in this thread.

Ah, a clever boots way of saying there's no right to immigrate. Well, there's also no right to restrict it. You can wave your hands around and come up with more or less persuasive words, but it will always be an ad hoc contrivance. People just go where they can to find a better life. And hopefully we do it [restrict immigration] in a humane way.

Edit. re: Bill Derington's post which showed up empty for some reason

And, by the way, no one said thousands of people made up the story about the criminals in Idaho, just that someone made up lies, then thousands seized upon them with no criticism or investigation whatsoever. Classic mob mentality.

Of course you do. I've conversed with people effected by this and if you don't think it's being swept under the rug then that's your right.

And when the federal government(barry-o) threatens to take away funding from state and local governments, they feel the pressure and weak-willed ones will crumble and give in to barry-o's demands.

I'm sure you are better than me at things, congratulations. However when it comes to common sense, YOU fail miserably.

I suppose you think "common sense" is making up things about Syrian refugees raping and murdering little girls to avoid certain issues "being swept under the rug"? If that's your idea of common sense, I don't want any of it.

Does anyone really think that the refugess have actually gone through any background check much less 2 years?

My daughter worked with refugees in Louisville. They had to stay in contact with their case workers for a long time. I'll see her this week-end and ask how long that term was. Dealing with refugees didn't just start. But let's see who can name the class of refugees who could always jump to the head of the queue.

Have you ever read Predestination where a girl goes back in time and had a sex change to become a guy so that she could have sex with her future self as a guy and then they make a baby which turns out to be the original guy who was sex changed into a female?

http://usherald.com/see-full-list-u...dium=rufugeelistcities620&utm_campaign=fbext#

Find your city and see where these peaceful, progressive, and tolerant migrants are being relocated to. Lexington, Lousiville, Bowling Green, etc...

A popular source you'll find on this list is......

I don't have a dog in the fight and stopped reading a couple of pages back....my opinion is you're both brainwashed political idiots, but I couldn't help but laugh at the websites you peruse and I clicked on your link. Look at the picture they put on there for "syrian immigrants":

[laughing]

Are you trying to convince anyone you're getting information from a reasonable or non-biased source? Its an honest question, I have no clue if you are or not, but that picture of ISIS militants cracked me up.

What are you talking about? There is no right to immigrate to the US, it's not waving our hands around. A foreign citizen has absolutely zero right to immigrate to the USA if we choose not to let them.

Oddly, I just said that. I also said there's no right to stop people from immigrating. It's just what people do.

I've never used that site for anything other than the sourcing on the organizations mainly responsible for importing migrants here.

We have the power and the self-interest, but nobody "owns" the Earth except by power. There were (after all) people here when Europeans arrived.
What difference does it make that someone got here before us? WE are here now and the US has the right to limit immigration.

Whoever you're responding to must be on my ignore list but I love that leftists still can't comprehend that there was no established government or country until us not to mention multiple tribes conquered each other as well.

The fact of the matter is, no one wants Muslims. They're not compatible with western civilization. They are evil as hell.

Do you realize how many tens of millions of Muslims are living peaceably in the Western Hemisphere at this very moment? Do you really think they are all out to get you and destroy your way of life?

no i don't know nor does anyone else because none of them actively stand up and denounce publicly these acts of the 'radicals", why because most of them are quiet cheerleaders for those who do what they don't have the balls to do themselves.

I've seen lots of Muslims standing up to these radicals and attempting to distance themselves from them. How are you missing this?
