I can’t watch vids of T-Mac, Green, Kemp, Nowitski and Larry Bird saying they wanted or were going to Kentucky lol

I cant either. These kind of sting too much. Guys like Bird, T-Mac and Dirk would have each, very likely, taken Kentucky to the next level. Granted Tmac might have been on the 98 title team, but if he stayed for an extra year.

You add those 3 guys and Kentucky might be tied with UCLA.

You really have to do a lot of imagining for all these what ifs to change Kentucky history.

Larry Bird got homesick and transferred from Indiana without playing a game. Because Bloomington in the 70s was too big!? That's probably like Hopkinville today.I doubt being farther away in Lexington helps.

Draymond Green wasnt good until his senior year, and we won the championship that year anyway.

Lamar Odom couldn't get in to UNLV! Sophomore year he's with Padgett and Tayshaun.

Kemp? Assuming he's freshman eligible, lot of seniors that first season he plays behind. Then comes the dark years he can't do much with

Nowitzki maybe, but takes a couple years to contribute. He was homesick and a soft power forward who would play behind Padgett for two years.

McGrady, if he stays a second year would fill a big hole on 99 team needing scoring from the 2. That's the one.

LOL, Dirk (college Dirk) was a stud. He wouldn't have played behind Padgett.
Odom behind Padgett ? Nope, he nor Dirk.
Kemp, bench player ? Dear Lawd.
Draymond only good his SR. year ???? OK, I guess 12.6 ppg / 8.6 rpg / 4.1 apg, 1.8 steals per game and 1.1 blocks per game his JR. year was subpar. Name the last UK player to post that stat line at UK.
McGrady would have never stayed a 2nd year, one would have been great, and he would have been the best player on the team.
You went 0/5, you may not be very good at this.

Green is a turd. I’m thankful this thug didn’t play at Kentucky.

Why. You ain’t gonna get a bigger thug than Cuz. That’s the kinda player we need. Ay least one each year. Frfr. Those kinda players win games. Remember when Cuz got in the big white boys head from Vandy. The whole call me thing. We need that.

I always dreamed of a late 80’s team with Rex, Kemp, Chris Mills, LeRon Ellis and Eric Manuel…damn faulty Emory envelopes!

This is SO stupid.

First off, Dirk wouldn’t have played with Padgett “for two years.” Only one. His freshman year would’ve been the 98-99 season …Padgett’s senior year …when we reached the Elite 8 before going down in a tightly fought battle to MSU. Yet you don’t think friggin Dirk Nowitzki would’ve made any difference for that team?

And the whole reason he didn’t play in college is because, after he TOTALLY dominated the Nike world Hoops Summit, NBA scouts correctly assured him that he was a Top 10 lottery pick too good to be playing college ball. Yet you think that guy would’ve spent two years riding the bench as a non-contributor at UK?

And there’s absolutely nothing whatsoever to support your claim that he was “homesick”. Appears you made that up out of thin air.

Some folks should really put more thought into it before they press that post button.
