We don’t tackle to the ground in practice, per Steve...and it’s showing.

Actually, at all levels, tackling is not taught like in the old days. Injuries, concussions, etc. Not a lot of full-speed tackling and when it is live, the whistle is quick.

Not to mention they only have so many hours a week to practice. They have to put so much into preparing the team to play, tackling is way down on the list.
