This is the first time I will have been at DWS in five years (lived out of state for a while), and I'll be tailgating for the first time.
My questions are: where to park? For clarification, I don't drive a Pontiac GTO.
And
Where's a good spot to tailgate?

I don't need/want to be in the hustle of the Junction, just somewhere where we're around folks and have some elbow room.

'Preciate it.

If you don't want to deal with searching endlessly to find a free space to park(and I don't), pay $10 or $20 and park in front of the old Physical Plant(The Cotton Mill), on the corner of Hwy 12 and Russell St. across from campus.

As far as tailgating, I'd suggest(if you park where I suggested) to tailgate on the North side of Russell St(Stone Blvd) beside the book store, or closer back to the highway across from the fraternity houses. Plenty of people tailgate in these areas, but there also is substantial area to move around in usually.

That's my 2 cents.

The mcarthy gym area is another good spot. Not too crowded and still close to stadium.

Thanks for that. Is there the ability to drive your car close to the bookstore and drop off gear?

If you are early enough. I think they quit letting people drive through a few hours before the game. Just go to the tailgate auction thread, win it, and don't worry about carrying anything but the XL yeti.

I think you have an opportunity to drop off stuff up until 4 hours before kickoff. At least that's how it has been the last few years.

The junction is only super crowded along the edges/walkways and under the few remaining trees. There is plenty of room towards the middle if you are willing to go there. Once everyone sets up at 5 on Friday, just walk through and find a spot.
