<font face="Arial" size="2">"...People aren't "attacking Mullen and others" because they necessarily
want to CMR to stay. The point is if a coaching change is going to be
made then why not go after the top candidates. I've not attacked
Mullen.
I think he would make a great OC for the next coach if a
change is made
.

Really?? They think Mullen would leave his HC job here to go be an OC at another SEC school??
I get so sick of these arrogant a$$clowns from traditionally bigger programs talking about how much better they are than us like we're Podunk Junior College and they can come and pluck our coaches and recruits away with no problem because "who'd wanna go there anyway?"17you Georgia and your inflated ego

Yeah I guess maybe it has but not when a program is considered on rise like ours has been and a coach who is loved the way Mullen is right now. I could see someone in the position of say, Coach Nutter Butter doing something like that... but an active, successful coach on the riseleaving to take a change like that??....no. It just seems very arrogant to me. Could be bc I'm still irritated after hearing a fatloud mouth UGA fan talking at last year's game about how superior they were to MSU in every possible way last year and how MSU was basically a joke.

Please enlighten me as to when a successful up and coming head coach in the SEC has taken a coordinator job at Bama, Florida, LSU etc? I'll wait....

Malzahn is the highest paid coordinator in the country at 1.3 mil/yr. We currently are paying Mullen right at 2.7 mil/yr.

I was more referring to recruits I guess. And the general feeling that we are a some podunk juco, or however it was phrased I don't feel like looking back. It's sure not where we sit now but it is where most people historically place us.

Out of the better programs, very few got a head coach from any school, much less a hot BCS school, to be their current head coach. Bama, Florida, Arkansas, Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Florida State, Nebraska, Oregon, Stanford, and West Virginia, all got assistant coaches or coaches from the NFL. Some schools like Michigan did get head coaches, but not from other BCS schools. LSU got Miles from Oklahoma State, Michigan got Rich Rod earlier from WVU, and USC did get Kiffin from UT, but Kiffin was a very unusual circumstance.<div>
</div><div>Stealing a head coach from another BCS school just doesn't happen very often. So UGA better not be thinking they can just get whoever they want.</div><div>
</div><div>Edit: And that's to be UGA's HEAD coach. It's just plain dumb to think Mullen or any other BCS head coach would go to UGA to be an assistant.</div><div>
