Who knows, another touchdown could have been a good confidence builder for the offense.

a blocked field goal, fumble, or interception right there and we could lose. May as well kneel and take the 3 point win....it's better than a 4 point loss.

You can't be this @%$+%@+ stupid. what if we turned it over and they returned it for a TD to win the game. would you have been okay with that or would you have rather we kneeled on it

Translation to, I understand while he kneeled on it but I have to find something to ***** about. Regardless of how stupid I sound

Trust me, there is plenty to ***** about in this game. Kneeling on the ball isn't one of them

you think Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, or LSU would have taken a knee at home.......hell no !! That's the damn problem, Croom coaches not to lose, therefore, we take a knee at home in the red zone w/ time on the clock, b/c Croom has no confidence in his players to protect the ball & get the touchdown.

If we disagree on this, then we disagree, but MSU, & Croom needed that touchdown for more than just the points on the board.

Cry me a river. People bitching about us kneeling on it are obviously looking for something to ***** about. Would it have been nice to see us try run the score up only for it to backfire and we lose the game?

People take knees all of the time. It is called not taking chances when not needed. Do you really think going for a meaningless TD was the right move? Really?

Of course those programs woulda taken a knee to run out the DAMN CLOCK to wrap up a ballgame.

Plus, we actually tried to score at the end of the first half today.

Damn, people. *****, *****, *****.

Well we got TDs, and a win. I am entertained with wins, not potentially blowing the game while running up the score. And where does the 4 yards punt even come into our conversation about kneeling on it?

It's just an example of my point about how we play. I love to win and I'm glad we did but it would have been nice to put one more on the scoreboard instead of squeaking by.

The way we play has nothing to do with kneeling on it. You se eteams kneel on it all of the time. I agree the way we play is entirely to conservative and I think the whole staff needs to go at the end of the season. I also would hope that the next coach we brought in woudl kneel on it when we have it won instead of doing anythin to take a chance in a turnover. Do you know what the fanbase would be like if we tried a pass their and it was intercepted and run back for a TD?

We did some real ****** things today and still won the game. Fumbled some snaps , ****** punting and stupid *** penalties.

However , taking a knee was a smart thing to do and ANYONE who thinks it wasn't should give up watching football.

I know you dumbass. I still wanted to get one more touchdown. Why do you have a problem with the fact that I wanted to score just one more. Jesus H. Christ. I already stated the I understand why he kneeled the ball. That still doesn't change the fact that I wanted to see a 10 point win instead of a 3 point win. We both agree a win is a win but I'd rather go to work Monday with all the Alabama jackasses at my work with a 10 point win instead of a squeaker. Is that hard for you to understand?

We score then kickoff to Vandy. Vandy has a great return man who could possibly return it or they score fast. Now we are up by 3 with Vandy attempting an onsides kick just needing a FG. All this is possible just from simply wanting to run up the score. Instead we kneel on it and win, I don't even see why this would be a discussion.

The way you stated it was you were shocked and mad that we kneeled on it. Don't try and back peddle now that common sense has slapped you upside the head

All I am saying is, that for this coaching staff that has only proven that they can lay a good egg & start seasons w/ un-prepared teams, that it would have been good for the coaches, & the players to have scored another touchdown, confidence all around. Had it backfired, yea that would have sucked the big one, but had we gotten the touchdown, then, *****, pizza & beer for all.

I would rather us coach / play like we have a desire to be champions, over coaching playing not to lose.

That's all, just sayin'</p>

Kneeling on the ball with game in hand is not coaching to lose, that is common sense.

Now our previous 2 possession were coaching to lose and I did not agree with them but he obviously did the right thing on the last possession

about that decision and then run and hide.

I think it was around the 2000 season...

Baylor leads (by less than 6 points) UNLV, with the ball insides UNLV's 10, and under 10 seconds left. Baylor's coach, in an attempt to "build some confidence" and to "make a statement", calls a running play. The RB gets to the 1 yd. line where he's stripped of the ball and UNLV returns it for a TD after time has run out.

Trying to score at that point would only make me suspicious that Croom had some money riding on the score.

With the ball on the eight I was thinking AD four times.

But putting a won game at risk is not big-time coaching. It's stupid.

When you're up by 3 and can kill the clock by taking a knee, you take the knee. Google Joe Pisarcik to find out what can happen when you don't.

When we lined up to take the 1st knee, I was going to head out. Then I noticed nobody around me was leaving. After the 1st knee, still nobody around me moved. Seemed like everybody wanted to soak in the last second.

I vote that fatboy and skip should not be allowed to post again on the basis of being dumb as ****... This is ridiculous, you take a knee, you win the game. Maybe you two should go to that Football 101 class for women that they have over there in Oxford.
