We held a Top 10 team to 3 points.

Yes, Auburn is WAY over-rated, but still. A part of me thinks we can still beat some teams this year.

Our staff and players have spent the whole offseason getting ready for this game. Thats one reason we lost to Tech, we didnt take them seriously. After spending the whole offseason put together schemes to beat Auburn, dont look for us to play as well next week. We are going to be on the road and spent alot of emotion tonight. I look for a letdown....

Alot of energy over months of preparation went down the drain tonight

It wont happen. When the other team gives you two points and the ball on the fifty and we still cant move it any! We are not going to beat many teams by not moving the ball plain and simple. Yes the defense was amazing and its really unfair to them to give our offense the ball time and time again only to watch them punt it away!

if Carlson makes his FG, we win. Period. No tease necessary.

and one was a chip shot. Cant play the "if" game...How does Tech score 20+ points but Auburn only 3? Because we put so much time and energy into this game. And we failed. It's going to be tough to get past this game because of that.

Auburn tried their best to give the game to us. But Croom's offense is so inept that we couldn't capitalize. I have never seen such a pathetic offense in my entire life.
The defense want play this good every game. You have to score points if you want to win. I dont see this offense scoring points consistently and that means we will struggle to beat anyone. I don't see a single game on the schedule left that you can pencil in a win. We very well may not win another game. Year 5 of the experminent is long enough. Time to go in a different direction. Wake up Greg Byrne.

...Lexington the next week to play a hot UK team and beat them solidly. Just an exmaple of why we might pull one out in Atlanta next week.

was a slap to the face of the defense. Our offense probably did not gain 15 yards on one single play the whole game. We should have tried to pin them deep and let the D find a way to win it. We are so bad on offense, I wonder why we don't let Rocky call a game or two on offense. I admit I was wrong. As well as our D played we should have at least been able get a F.G. What I want to know is what happened to "the only color that matters is maroon " ? Our D deserved better!

we may not win but 2 more games... this game will no doubt bring dissention among the players.. there is now way we come out of this game as a team.. I've never in my life seen such disparity between O and D.. I just don't see our D playing like this the rest of the season.... our offensive coaches are utter retards.. the D just may very well give up after this debacle.. they played their hearts out only to go back to the sidelines after every 3 and out and watch the most retarded cocksuckers in the history of SEC football totally piss a game away...

%%$% YOU CROOMS FOR PUTTING YOUR BUDDY AHEAD OF THE PROGRAM

oh and %%$% YOU for not punting your ignorant **********!!!!

The only thing that needs to be pulled out is Croom's head out of his ***. The defense will be demoralized after tonight's game. Our O beat our D to death tonight. And AU ain't even close to being a #9 team. Stay tuned for Tuberville excuses. If you can get past whatever excuses Croom throws out.

in order for us to beat GT next weekend, but I think it will, and therefore, we will win next weekend.

I mean, after all, we just held an almighty spread offense to 3 points.

(Lord, please don't let a wishbone team score more than 3 pts on our defense)

Coach is right about this. We put a lot of energy, effort and emotion into this game (I saw very little of any of that last year at WVU). Not to mention that this game was at home in front of a great crowd against one of our traditional rivals. This type game is much tougher to bounce back from than one like WVU last year.

Hopefully, not wanting to go 1-3 will give us the motivation we need to pull it out. But bottom line is that we've got some guys on our sideline who just aren't getting it done. I think we need to name a new offensive coordinator tomorrow. And we ought to be looking for a good qb coach.

Still, after 6 years of total incompetence, it is better to see us compete and have chances to win. Hopefully, the big picture will get better.

to hiring someone like an Al Borges to finish out the season as OC and letting McCorvey take "medical leave" for the rest of the season to recover from his surgery. I mention Borges's name because a) I think he's out of coaching this year and b) he knows the WCO (it's too late to change the offense much this year).

Of course tubby is happy. A win is win. Good coaches find a way to win.

Here's one Auburn fan who is very happy to make it out of Starkville with a win. The game was agony, regardless of who you cheer for. Good luck on the rest of your season.
