That’s about as good as you could hope for TBH.
I saw of Facebook were the 3-seed. No matter. This regional should come down to a best 2-of-3 between us and FSU. We got the weakest 2-seed in the tournament. Very good draw.
Last time we fired a coach they ended up at the FSU region. Went on to the CWS.
Beware, if our pitching can't keep them off base, they'll run us to death
We also have one of the 2 weakest 4-seeds in Bethune Cookman (SWAC).
Not that a 4-seed should threaten us regardless, but you never know. If we have to battle through the loser's bracket, we'll be glad it's them and not someone with an RPI in the 70s.
Good teams between us and Omaha, but none of them are from the SEC.
NE has played just 13 q1 and q2 opponents. Their SOS 168. Not saying they can’t beat us but they are definitely not accustomed to top level baseball.
Every team has at least 1 pitcher who can beat you on a given day.

They have a very good record and a long winning streak. Not sure about quality opponents tho. Tom Glavines brother coaches them.
Yep. Would also be one of our worst losses. Looking at their history. They do have a CWS appearance in 1966. But are 4-20 in regionals with the last win in 1973. We’re not losing to freaking Northeastern.

On any given day Hines and a few others on the team can light their asses up.
I think that’s a fairly tough regional 1 through 4. I’d almost rather have our draw on the road than theirs at home.
The host snubs playing for their retiring legendary coach. I'm not sure if this helps or hurts, but there are definitely a lot of intangibles.

I’ll be honest, I had to Google Northeastern. I thought we were playing Northwestern and someone was be facetious.
I’ve gone right past their campus a few times in Boston. Would be a good school to go to. But not much postseason baseball success.
