After tonight, I think it's safe to say that Tarboro doesn't care if you're the new kid. This was Wilson Prep's 3rd year in existence as well, just like Corvian.
Tarboro will win. And my gut says convincingly
I think Tarboro is on a mission but cant overlook this Corvian team. Im not sure they care who the Vikings are. They knocked the Champ off at home.
With community in their official school name, is it safe to assume that they don't have attendance borders as well, like so many of these newer 1A prep and charter like schools?
Corvian is either really good at forcing fumbles or really lucky. The last 3 weeks they have recovered multiple fumbles almost every game. Including inside their own 20 against all three teams.
I can confidently say Tarboro definitely won't overlook corvian. They have earned the right to be here. Heading into the playoffs corvien was a unknown team. Now everyone knows who they are
I'm probably being nice. But I do think the west has 3 or 4 teams better than the 2nd place east team. Maybe more than that.
It's only their 3rd year having a football team. 2A will have them to deal with for a while. I think I counted 14 seniors and around 10 JRs moving up unless they get more players out of that Charlotte area for next year.
Well we'll get the answer to my question of is Tarboro even better that ever or is the East other than Tarboro is even weaker than ever.
There's a lot to choose from in a 25 mile radius in Charlotte to reload.
Tarboro is playing very well right now. It sounds like Corvian is too. Should be a big time game next Saturday.
I think Corvian puts up a fight, but Tarboro rolls to another title. Good luck to both teams.
We will try our best to defend the traditional public schools honor.
Corvian will be a better coached team than Wilson prep but not sure it will be enough against the vikings

Them handing their last 3 playoff opponents their first lost of the season does look nice. But being a 1A school with open enrollment from the Charlotte area doesn't seem like a fair fight vs teams with limited reach for their athletes.
Well the West will be represented by 3 teams in Charlotte area and 1 from Greensboro. The 2a and 3a represented by schools playing with 500 more students to choose from than competition
Definitely not a fair fight. You can stack the deck. Take the cards you want and let everyone play with the rest. Who's gonna win. Hopefully, Tarboro wins it for the traditionals...Wish I could ask Tucker how does she think this is fair play

Think it will obviously be Tarboro closet game of the season, but expect them to win.
Go Tarboro BUT they will not beat this Corvian team...Corvian just beat the best 2 teams in the state ..and also beat a top 4 team in Eastern Randolph...
It's really hard to say till the game happens Tarboro has dominated everyone in the playoffs so far
I would say Tarboro is playing better than anyone right now. Mountain purple is pulling for flatlander purple. No way a school with a legit lottery system can compete for a football state championship in just 3 years. The powers to be have to blind not to see this. This was one of the green teams top two teams ever and they used to be 2A and got further.
Here’s my take. Corvian is playing at a level that has completely shocked us. Hats off to them on how dominant they’ve been playing. It’s doing to be a good one for sure but of course I’m pulling for my Vikings.
This defense is playing lights out right now offense is looking dominant also & executing on all levels!
This bunch has been focused since the L to havelock earlier this season & that was a game that got away from them.

These players for Corvian didn't know how to put shoulder pads on 3 years ago. They have come a long ways
So if Tarboro blow them out Saturday will the entire 1A be considered weak?
I think Tarboro wins but it's a fact the East has been terrible for years...it's always Tarboro with whomever wayyy behind in 2nd place
I disagree with it being one of their top 2 teams. I would say 3 or 4.
8 straight years and this will only be the 2nd time we’ve played a team from outside of Surry County..what’s that say about the west?
Wow we totally have not heard that before. It's funny though because this is only the second time in the last 8 years that Tarboro has played a non Surry County School so what does that say about the West? I'm not even trying to be combative either. It says the West is weak
. You can keep on hating on them vikings (and you definitely do cause you be throwing shots low-key but it's all good) guarantee tarboro would blow out your school

If you put Corvian up against Reidsville 2017 or 2018 teams it's not even close and Heritage lost by 1 score in both of those games at Reidsville. 2009 was slightly better too imo.
