They ain’t wrong..I can’t live without a few more options than crappy Kroger and Walmart, but I bet his new salary allows for shipping nice things

Foods of All Nations aisle? I know what that is, but I don't think I've ever seen it called that. And I assume Starkville has those aisles as well.

Truth

Kroger does organic well

I go there more often than most other stores — Corner Market being the main exception
Krogers are good grocery stores comparatively. I don't buy into the cult of Publix. There isn't much difference between a Publix and a Kroger. I went into a Publix on my way to Smith Lake a little while back and it was trash. I suspect the quality of each depends on management.

Whole Foods is a different place than it was before Amazon purchased it. You can find deals there. Their 365 brand stuff is pretty good quality and usually priced well.

I like Whole Foods, but the UVA guy who made that post is the type of person who could likely benefit from a punch in the face. Who says stuff like that?

Jackson has a Whole Foods? Crazy.
yes, but it is ratchet. I advise Fresh Market in Ridgeland or Sullivans in Gluckstadt.

There's a Lulu not far from Whole Foods, 10 years ago you'd see the hottest/most fit 30/40/50ish year old women in the world, not so much any more. FNEJ is shell of it's former glory.

I think we're getting to the root of much of the Jackson hate here.
As a former resident I think all you have to do to "get to the root of much of the hate" is read the Jackson area papers; talk to former residents that have left; try and get something done from JPD, City Hall, street dept, sewer dept, or just try and drive down the streets dodging pot holes, orange cones and barrels and you will figure it out first hand, quickly

Everytime I drive between work and home, I wonder how will my drive change today…

The nice Kroger stores look just as good as the nice Publix stores - not sure about the food quality. We go to Publix because they're close by - one a couple miles north, one a couple miles south of my house. The nearest Kroger is maybe 5 miles away.

A new chain here is Food City. I've not been in one but they look nice from the outside and from what I've heard, pretty good inside and high quality stuff.

Aint nothing wrong with Kroger. Beats Piggly Wiggly and Save a lot. Publix is the top of the food chain for grocery stores. 17 Whole Foods. Still just makes a Whole Turd
I’ll put my local Pig up against Kroger any day of the week. Mine still has checkout lanes that are manned full time, baggers that take your groceries to your car, and butchers that know what they’re doing.

Carjackings, road rage, and drive-by shootings can do that *********
Jackson drivers aren’t the most obedient when it comes to traffic regulations.

Plus, road work and randomly non-functioning lights…

I will be their Whole Foods shopper. Will pick it up, take it to their home and not charge a thing food included). They do take stamps don’t they?

Kroger is a decent grocery store. It's better than rouses to me and you get the fuel points. Winn Dixie is probably my souther favorite but they pissed me off to Aldis. A dollar general disguising itself as as grocery store. Aldis blows. Walmart is good for buying most everything but fresh meat and produce. We usually buy from several. Box and can stuff from Walmart. Meat depends on who is running the sale on what between Winn Dixie and rouses. Big surplus drinks toilet paper etc from Sam's.
If I were to rank
HEB
Publix
Kroger
Winn Dixie
Rouses
Walmart
Piggly Wiggly

crack head on side of the road
Whole Foods
Trader Joes
