Which is literally every publicly traded company in one respect or another. I don’t hate the application of tariffs, this is something else. I agree it’s a negotiation, and it is exposing the EU and some of the other “partner” states of their hypocritical ********. For instance, the EU was set to enact a whole bunch of stuff on us that would severely increase costs of our goods to do business in the EU tied around green energy and supply chain fairness. They’re having problem turning their heads directly to China and ignoring those requirements. Which, to me, says those actions were designed to weaken us.

The allocation of tariffs was totally justified.

The sophomoric way they calculated and applied was inexcusable and really hurt the end game.

People that can’t understand that just don’t understand the details

It's going to work out fine. We were about to collapse financially anyways. Nobody has ever recovered from 37 trillion in debt. Something has to be done now to force a change.

You seem to be the only one who doesn't understand what is happening. Still waiting on that point paper on how you would have done it if you could have gotten 77 million votes and escaped multiple assignation attempts.

I would have assigned tarrifs in direct proportion to the rates being assessed by said country. That would’ve been the perfect push off point for negotiations country by country. Instead, we used a sixth grade formula tied to trade defects and divided that by 2. This had with nothing to do with actual tariff amounts when we could have gotten the necessary, desired concessions by focusing on actual tariff assessed

Look, you do not understand this; I get it.

Now awaiting your paper on why this was the optimal approach. (This should be good)

I understand just fine. That's why I'm not crying about it. There's a entire thread for you to read through and absorb the reasons this is happening like this. There's also plenty of other threads that explain what is happening. People should buy while it's down or hold what they got.

Nice white paper on why this was the optimal approach. 😂

Reasons you shouldn’t be buying Tesla right now.

Tesla is down 49.7% from its high earlier this year. The primary reason is a dramatic drop in sales since Elon Musk took over his DOGE responsibilities. It is estimated he has lost over 30% of his market, particularly in Europe and in the United States.

I’m not sure how this is getting fixed anytime soon , even when he steps back from DOGE duties.

Also Gunny , let me know where I can buy that SpaceX stock since it’s not publicly traded.

But you clearly are a man who understands how how things work. Any other stock tips for me?

PS, I’m still waiting on your white paper. Reply on why this was the best approach to tariffs.

Sorry it's taking so long between post. Apparently someone put a timer on how fast I can post. You all can guess who.

My point is it could’ve been so much more seamless if properly executed.

Nobody should get a pass for that
You're probably right, but there really was no "easy" way to do this. I personally would have preferred a series of tariff announcements instead of all at once, just to give folks time to adjust and accept. However Trump is operating in hyperdrive IMO trying to use "shock & awe" to maintain some momentum on his agenda priorities.

I'm OK with that strategy as long as we get the desired results.

Odds of getting the desired results have greatly reduced because of the initial rollout choices. Not impossible, but could’ve been so much easier.

We'll see? We'll have a bigger sample size after about 2 or three months. Already some countries are coming around and announcing lower tariffs to us. If that keeps up, it's all good. Hang in there, Rome wasn't built in a day. ;)

they’ll have to choose:
continue acting as conduits for China, or trade with the U.S.

They won’t be able to do both.

You should have ran for President. You seem to have all the answers however I don't think all the Iran proxies would have cared what you thought though. They probably would have MS-13 separate your head from your shoulders.

I support Trump’s plan. It's on you to sell us on how you could have done better. So far you have failed miserably at doing so.

You really can’t defend how this was rolled out can you?

Even a simplistic white paper would do
