It is amazing to me that there are Republicans who think the President being able to unilaterly impose tariffs is a good thing. The ball keeps on bouncing and the pendelum is always swingning. It's not going to happen in the immediate future, but at some point a left-wing version of Trump is going to come along. Imagine someone like Bernie Sanders or some other Progressive lunatic having that kind of power.
No doubt. Some left-wing version of Trump may come in and try to cancel payment of student loans with a stroke of the pen.

Wha
What are duties then ? I guess since they are a tax paid by the American consumer after they are eliminated instead of 2.4% inflation we will be a -3% deflation ?? Explain that for me
Taxes. Let’s see, duties and tariffs are only paid on imports. Since we don’t import everything your formula is not valid.

The damage has been done already.
So, yay.
This is worse than Germany, we have a sitting president stealing money from us, taxpayers. See tariffs, see $10B lawsuit that he "won" against himself, see $10B for the Board of Dictators aka Peace Board.
It's all a ruse...and yet morons STILL don't see it.
An orange buffoon has convinced a country of hillbillies and imbeciles that the boogeyman is real while he, his sons, and many of his cabinet rob the country blind.

Congress can impeach or write new laws. We can amend the constitution. Those are excellent checks against the judicial. Bigger problem is we elect a bunch of do-nothings in Congress so the checks are less likely to ever be used. That's not a design flaw though. It's people problem (garbage in garbage out).
What runs through my mind every time I read a case for increasing the House by "multiples" to reset the per capita representation. Understand the argument but can still only conclude, yikes.

The whole premise of the argument is that the president can not impose taxes, only congress can. If these are taxes paid by the consumer how did inflation get down to 2.4% ? Im saying the president has sole control over importation and is allowed to use duties as he sees fit. Do you have a counter point or is your entire argument " he is a nazi", followed by " thats racism" ??

They were Quoting Nazi Criminals in congress, don't think for a minute that **** didn't have legs. The lies you have been told think otherwise is disgusting. Starting with Jan 6th and the rigged elections that didn't happen.
