Both Duke insiders changed their picks from Duke to UK this afternoon. Looks like our roster is set.
Just last week they caught wind of a Duke lean. Winds shift. No need to assume the storm is over.
I like meat on my pizza and some mushrooms, onions, extra cheese. I like mine thin and crispy. Thick and chewy not for me. Don't want to fill up on that heavy crust. also I don't like it when all the toppings slide off the pizza so I just tell them to cook it a little longer. This seems to help the toppings stay where they belong. I also don't order pizza from a franchise anymore. The one owner pizza rest. seem a lot better. Another thing is if I order pizza to go or any thing else I don't call it in. They tell you a certain time and when you get there in that set time it's already been sitting 10 minutes so when you get it home it's well on it's way to getting cold so I go to the place and order it there and just wait. I'd rather wait on my food to have it waiting on me. That's enough for now. I'm gonna think about some more things to say about pizza. If I think of anything worth posting I will. If not I will just think of something else off the wall to post on this thread about the recruiting of Bolden.
I only eat pizza with cheese that strings off really far when you grab a slice. That high fat mozzarella is my reason for living. I'm all about a thin crispy crust too.
Over at corupp rafters Bolden is the real deal now that they feel he is going to UK. Anybody remember what they were saying about him when they thought he was going to Duke?
I will say again that if he were to commit tomorrow, I will be a little disappointed. Having too many "great" freshmen on a team typically does not workout. The only instance I would be okay with it is if those 4 "great" freshmen are going to be your 4 best players. I am fine with 3 "great" freshmen but 4 just seems like too much when you factor in what we have returning and how K likes to have a 7-8 man rotation.
There is a pretty good chance that Bolden would be our 6th or 7th most important player next year. To me, that just opens the door to chemistry issues for a kid who is thinking one and done and will more than likely have to be talked into going to Duke if that is what he decides.

I don't really have a problem with this line of thinking. I've said all along Bolden would be a great pickup, but he's hardly a make or break player for this Duke team.
I've always thought it would be a good scene in a cop comedy movie to have an officer offer a suspect a cup of coffee in the interrogation room, all sweet and friendly-like, and for the suspect to be all wary, and be like, "Naw, I'm not falling for that," and the cop would be all like, "What? What do you mean?" Then the suspect would predict how it was a trick and the cop was probably going to smack it out of his hands or something and the cop would deny it all incredulously and urge him to drink the coffee. Then they'd go back and forth a bit with the suspect all suspicious and the cop insistent until finally he gets really insistent, so the suspect relents and picks up the cup of coffee. And right when he picks it up the cop smacks it out of his hand up against the wall and grabs him by the shirt and starts screaming threats in his face about how he better tell him whatever and quit lying, etc, while the suspect looks bored and rolls his eyes and says, "Yeah, you pulled this same trick last week, Trevor."

Count me in the minority (apparently) of posters who think Bolden would get major minutes at Duke, and that losing him is a pretty big deal, especially to the one team who is as loaded as Duke. When the consensus rankings are finalized, he could be a top 15 recruit in a very loaded class, and he plays a position and role that frankly I'm not sure we have on our roster. I think Duke is better with Giles-Amile in the lineup early in the season, but by tournament time it wouldn't surprise me if Giles-Bolden was better.
Not make or break but I do like what Bolden could bring. If he doesn't come, long term it could be better for Chase and Javin.
Define 'major' minutes. Clearly he would play, but with a senior Amile, along with two highly-touted freshman in Giles and Tatum, not to mention a sophomore Chase Jeter....well, it's not as if there's 30-35 minutes waiting to be gobbled up....heck, I'd venture to guess anything more than 20-25 on most nights would be a lot.
If he outplays Jeter in practice, he gets 24 minutes. That's pretty much what Duke is offering. Now if Harry or Amile are affected by time off, he may get more, but that is a long shot.

How do you like your Taco's hard or soft? For me it all depends on whether I want hard ones or soft ones. Don't like lettuce on them. lettuce to me is just a stuffer that makes it look bigger and takes away from the taste. Give me mine with some good pepper jack cheese, some taco sauce or salsa with some finely chopped Roma tomato and onion. OFC

The kind of guy who uses silly derogatory nicknames for rival fanbases is the exact same guy as the one who goes all sour grapes on a prospect who chooses another school. The maturity level is the same. There were precious few on rafters who've had anything bad to say about Bolden beyond "why is he taking so long?", but the few who did are the kind who say "puke" instead of "Duke", call K "ratface", or would say "corrup rafters" (sic) if they were a fan of somebody else.
