Attended his signing party at Northwest Rankin today. His daddy "Big Daddy" or "Poppy" as we know him, is a fine fellow as is the rest of his family. Don't forget to invite Poppy to your spot in the lounge, I promise you will enjoy the conversation.

I know his brother pretty well. He tried to walk on at State but I don't think it ever materialized.

Usually, you never know about HS stats, but NWR plays a lot of really good teams, both in-state and out-of-state. You get a SS putting up those kind of numbers at NWR and he projects to be a pretty good college player.</p>

is his speed. He ran something like a 6.4 60 yard dash, and it got a lot of attention from MLB scouts when he was at the East Coast Showcase playing for the Padres Scout team. I would like to see him get his batting average up, but NWR struggled a little bit last year as a team. I don't know how much that affected his hitting. Having six home runs at that level is pretty good, though. I think he will be an outfielder for us.

I also think NWR will be better this year- they have Stark and a guy named Cody Levington that's a junior that I think will commit to MSU next summer or in the spring. Levingston is an OF/1B.

It's Cody Livingston and they are more on him for being a big lefty on the hill. They are asking about him and I believe if State offers, he goes. They also had two kids move in that are D1 material, Dugas and Sweet. They should for sure be better, though 23-7 is not to shabby.
