Does that mean WV would have beaten Kansas by about 31, thus would achieve a #1 seed in the dance. Maybe CFE can tell us.

I couldn't believe how Kansas, perhaps the best passing team in the Big 12, couldn't get out of its own way. Poor passing. Very few fast-break points (about 20 for TCU), poor rebounding, terrible shooting, particularly by Dick, who was 2-13!!! TCU went up big early and never lost the lead.
