another one bites the dust.

He is one I thought had a chance to blow up, but didn’t. He would be a 3 time transfer if he does go elsewhere. I don’t know his circumstances but for some of these guys, working harder might be the answer to their problems. I don’t believe we have a more talented tight end from a receiving and potential perspective. It didn’t help to start the season off with a police run in and then get hit with injuries.

It hurts depth, but his impact on games this far have been minimal. I imagine he will be looking at dropping down a level to play right away.

I would like him to stay and become the hardest working man in the room and realize his full potential.

Well he is fast enough to out run a full on police pursuit. So he has that going for him. Biggest problem is he can't block anyone. A TE needs to be able to block.

These guys arent his guys and the last coach wasnt the best character human being who probably knew what he had recruited and helped him run away, as long as it stops this year. Way too many holes and roster spots to fill to lose more players than you recruit, that's the wrong direction so hopefully after this year it's more of a normal number which will happen, instead of what we've seen this year

I view it as cleaning house. Brown didn’t walk in day one and kick people off the team. He set a standard and those that either can’t meet the standard or feel they have a higher chance of seeing the field in another system have been free to go.

Really, I think it was more that he saw the writing on the wall. No tight end saw more than a handful of catches this year, which is his supposed strength, and I don't think he even had one that I can recall. He probably wasn't going to see much more than what he got this year so he figured it would be best to test the waters and potentially move on.

Good luck to him. Hope he catches on somewhere that utilizes his skill set.

PS: At least we've gotten to this point without the trolls invading and destroying it. I'll put the over/under at 3 more posts before that happens.

I agree with cleaning house outlook, again just hope that enough of the situations are cleaning house and not a mass exodus for any other reason. The best way to figure that out is Brown getting his guys in and do they stay and do we win. It's basically an argument based on opinion right now, the only real way to answer it is time, which hopefully he gets

I'm sure Haskins read the writing on the wall, the homest question is just was it him, his play in practice or something of the sort, the coaches approach to the position, his attitude theirs??? My faith is in Brown, and we need players, starters and depth that's just fact, so hopefully the amount of players, starters, expected starters that leave the program vs. Come into the program flips once he gets Dana's leftovers out. Again time is required to figure that out, but thank you Darius for staying that's huge

FYI, Blue Lot members got the scoop on this earlier today.

I was hearing rumors about him leaving around the middle of the season. I'm not in Morgantown and don't know anyone on the new staff, so there was no way to confirm it. It looks like it was true. Thanks Vernon.

Only a few catches for 18 yards in 2019, I believe. Not a great loss but I still will wish him well wherever he goes. 2020 season will be more of a reflection of what Neal Brown can do at the Power 5 Big 12 level, which is a tough row to hoe. Neal is letting those who can't hack it leave and bringing recruits more suited to what he likes. So it will be Neal Brown's team in 2020 and, with the talent returning, Neal should get the credit and the blame for what happens in 2020. Here's hoping for a Big 12 run to the title game, at least.

TE who transferred in from Miami is now transferring out of West Virginia

https://collegefootballtalk.nbcspor...ami-is-now-transferring-out-of-west-virginia/

The past two seasons, Haskins has totaled 166 yards and a touchdown on 20 receptions for the Mountaineers. Just four of the catches and 18 of the yards came this past season, with that reduced role likely serving as the trigger for the departure decision.

This is the definition of a guy who can't keep a commitment. Never heard but did he win that police marathon he was running?

When I was 18 I had to pay a speeding ticket in a nearby town. Off to court I go to pay up. There was middle aged guy about four spots ahead of me trying to plead down from drunk driving by claiming he was parked, legal in those days. Two cops in different cars had caught him weaving his way home. He looks at the judge and says,"C'mon Jim. The SOB's snuck up on me, neither of 'em had their headlights on until they turned those blue lights on." The entire court room cracked up, and he didn't beat that DUI.
