Hinsdale Central: Score wasn’t even as close as final indicates. I thought Stevenson would win handily.

Sterling: I didn’t think Viator would win but thought they’d test Sterling, they didn’t. Sterling may be for real, like take down Phillips real.

Delasalle: Seeing they beat Mt. Carmel made me think they'd handle Hoffman Estates easily. Dead wrong.

Add it to my list. I haven’t been able to figure out the Green all year. I definitely had DLS too.

Obviously everyone was wrong on C-M.

I picked CM to win the south bracket. HS beating them was the biggest shocker of the weekend to me.

Hoffman Estates. Completely dominated Delasalle. They could possibly be setup with games against teams seeded 11 and lower until the semis. Unreal if they could do that. Just remember where that program was 5-6 years ago.

Huntley. I had these guys pegged all year as Top 15. I wonder if this throws some shade on Super... nah

cap:

Agree.

I never underestimated Edwardsville, but Huntley has become more of a meaningful player in the Fox Valley and in the post-season over the past five years. The team's near miss against Prairie Ridge and victory over Cary Grove sent a resonant message this year so, naturally, I expected the team to advance further. This one shocked me.

I was wrong about Belleville West. I am bewildered about the QB shake up they implemented this week to “run more” and then faced nine in the box until they reverted to what got them there, which is a sophomore gun slinger who played in the second half.

I also was wrong about Brother Rice not playing in the Prep Bowl. They probably would have beaten Leo to go 3-7 then any number of teams who would have played them this week would have beat that @$$ and 3-8 finish

I probably expect too much & I don’t want to come off like a jerk.I can’t say anything bad about Richards. They usually schedule tough. If their conference is down not their fault.Shepard I was so happy for but they didn’t even provide much of a challenge for a 5-4 Marmion who is good.I do hope Rich Central & Hillcrest don’t look ahead & win this week.Edgy would have to be there for that Quarterfinal match up.I already requested off a few days so I can fly up to see that!!! If it comes to be

Huntley...Jacobs...........and after this weekend, PR

Wishful thinking on your part or are there reasons why you think the Trojans will prevail? Since you follow them, I am interested on your breakdown for this game. Is CG a lot healthier now than they have been?

Actually we are as healthy as we have been since week 1. You, per sources tell me, are not. I've watched the film,Superman moved bad against Jacobs. While he had a good game against central ( I was there with our team), Central looked more like that JV team I've been waiting to see all year.

All I have left to say is:

There once was a qb named Evans,
a gift sent to earth from the heavens.
With scoreboards ablaze,
his skills did amaze,
As he beat all the other elevens.

He raced down the field with such ease,
in order his fan base to please.
And when he was done,
the victory won,
All Wolves gave thanks on their knees.

Anyone who didn’t root against PR now will after a grown man writes poems idolizing a child? You really are off you rocker there fella...good luck this weekend!

We must remember that this fella "hinted toward" being a mock proponent of dead-lock winners he declares.

I contest he loathes Superman and he tugs his cape.

If I had to bet, he's a CLC Tiger fan. They cannot enjoy the success we or PR has had mostly because we run strong youth programs who are direct feeders to our High schools. We run our offense and defense from bantam up. PR feather up, I believe.

I know this will be shocking, but he is actually a SHG fan.
