Everyone knew he was a great player in college. He is still a great player and e deserves the credit.

Nevermind that he was awful for the majority of the day.. he really made 3-4 plays the whole game.. that doesn't beat anybody else in the league but maybe the Rams

They looked very Croomesque the entire game until it got into crunch time and they had to lean on Tebow. Earlier in the game they were pretty much just passing on sure-passing downs. Granted, he could have done better with what he was given, but I saw at least 2 drops or balls that should have been caught if the receiver gave any effort at all. The guy isn't great, but he definitely is not the worst starter in the NFL.

...prototypical NFL QB? No. But I've never seen anything quite like the way the media has treated this guy. It's like they have an agenda against him simply because he's popular. Even his coach and GM don't like him. Hell, they trade away their best receiver the week before he makes his first start. It's amazing.

being can do no wrong in college to being totally hated on by the NFL.

I don't think he will make it in the NFL because I don't think anyone will give him a fair chance.

Personally, I don't care for him, but I will say that he has worked his tail off and has done everything that he possibly could to succeed, so there's something to be said for that.

I was kind of surprised that the Broncos drafted him- he really needs to be somewhere like New England where they can put in a package for him and then allow him time to develop and eventually start.

When Matt Moore is on the other side of the field, and you're still not sure who's got the better QB, that's not good times. I don't blame John Fox for being conservative.. he knows the same things we know about Tebow. Most of the plays he makes are runs or screen passes. You can't make your living in the NFL like that. They were deep into the 3rd qtr and he had something like 85 yds of TOTAL OFFENSE.Like I said, that beats the Dolphins and the Rams *maybe*.. nobody else.

John Elway knows QB play in the NFL. John Fox knows QB play in the NFL. They see the same things I see, except they see it every day. And part of the reason Lloyd was traded is because he's an Orton guy.. loves Orton.Being a role model doesn't make you a good NFL player, or even an average one.

I think he's got a chance to play for a little while, but he hasn't exactly lit it up yet. Maybe in late game situations he's going to do well, but he's got a long way to go still.

and that is what he got yesterday. a win is a win is a win. Does it make a **** how you do it? every NFL winis a good one, I don't care if your are playing a winless team or not. Freaking prognosticators, coach's, analyst, blah blah blah...they miss on more than half their qb's in the draft.....so yeah their evals are rock solid**. Merrill hodge even backed off his predictions saying hewas strictly making an eval that is it. doinghis job.

Maybe tebow isn't good enough, or maybe he is, I don't know. Got to give him reps (and 5-6 games worth)to see, there have been alot of guys that had all the"tools" that didn't make it. I think had he started for broncos from the start he could've led them to a .500 record in that AFC West.

...if he'll be good or not? He's started, what, like 4 games?<div>
</div><div>I just get tired of the hard-on that Merrill Hodge, Cowherd, and others have for his failure. It's ridiculous. They hate him because others love him, which is completely stupid. If you like Kix, that's great. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is a superior cereal but I'm not going to be a douche about it and keep telling you how inferior Kix is.</div><div>
</div><div>By the way, being a good passer doesn't make you a successful NFL QB either. You need to be a leader too. Ask Jeff George.</div>

necessarily hate him. They're just following the script that ESPN gives them. ESPN turned into "reality TV" about 15 years ago.

those guys watch countless hours of tape.. NFL Matchup (or whatever they changed the name of the show to) is one of the best shows on TV for actually seeing them break down game film. That's what they draw their conclusions from... it takes certain things to be successful at QB in the NFL.. Tebow isn't particularly good at most of those things.. the tape doesn't lie.

What is this? Fantasy football? You say that they watch tape and judge what it takes to be a successful QB in the NFL. Do they ever look at the scoreboard? When did winning lose importance? Tebow has won everywhere he has been. The Broncos are now 1-4 without Tebow and 1-0 with him. I would play Tebow until he proves to me we can't win games with him. Winning is the only stat that really matters. I'm not saying Tebow is the answer, but I think these analysts lose sight of the fact that some guys just know how to win. I'll take the guy who can run for 5 yards on 3rd and 4 over the guy who can run for 6 yards on 3rd and 7 every time. Some guys just know how to make plays. The analysts forget that.
